But in reality, the winder engine is the third modification of the 3 holer from 2005! ( 973 to 1049 to 998cc) And, the 3 holer wasn't even new in 2005 as it was adapted from another platform. And the frigin' clutch still rattles!!!
The 2020's were available last March and I posted a similar question on a similar thread at the time which never received any owner reports. I can't imagine anyone who reads this forum daily for the last 10 years had the kahunas to risk a purchase of one. From what I can tell there's only two...
That's my take as well. You don't really notice the benefit of PS while riding as much as after when your shoulders are not aching for the next day or so.
If I was Yamaha and didn't want to spend too much on a new chassis design I'd go back and fix the handling issues of the Nytro chassis, throw the Apex motor in it, whala - hotcakes! That ship has no doubt sailed already, just another missed opportunity.
While we're on the subject - how does YCCT react when the sled is in reverse? Always thought there would be a good opportunity to increase safety by making the throttle extra numb in reverse. Anyone who's accidentally bumped the throttle when backing up knows why!
Beyond belief to me that insurance co's who have full time professionals to access risk could confuse 4-stroke displacement with 2-stroke displacement. What's wrong with our education system?
Wheelies are a suspension transfer indicator. Somewhere back in the 70's/80's when there was no suspension to speak of they were a sign of power. They are practically irrelevant to power today.
