MIRRORS
I have the dealer installed mirrors on my Viper LTX on the handlebars. There are pictures posted on the SR VIPER TALK section, under the subject: "NEW VIPER ARRIVAL".
Hope they help

Non biased opinion
I have been riding Yamahas now for 11 years. Before that I rode cats for 30 years. I had one Ski-DOO 9500 in the early 80's and I was very disappointed with it. Many of the early Cats were "new releases".
I switched to Yamaha in '03 RX-1 limited edition, on a challenge...
Copper donuts
The copper donuts will definitely outlast the stock donuts . What you may find is the ribbed flex extensions right behind the donuts are possibly cracked/broken. Once you get the seat off spray all bolts and nuts with WD40 or Liquid Wrench. They will be extremely tight with some...
I put 1800 plus miles on my black LTX Viper this year mostly all in Canada.
Found it to be a really fun sled to ride. Much lighter than my 06 Apex and my 11 Vector LTX SE.
Had the first service done at 500 miles which consisted of oil/filter change , chain case oil changed and readjust...
Grease the bearing
While riding Cats for 30 years I learned back in the 90's that you can carefully remove the shield and pack the bearing with grease, using your finger, push as much grease as possible into the bearing then replace the seal very carefully.
I started doing this to my Yamaha...
Darting
I've been running 6" Dually Stud-Boys for 10 years. The stock 4" carbides that come on the sled are junk. I ran them for 50 miles, took them off and thru them away. Major darting with the stock ones. Once I replaced with the 6" dually, problem went away. I tried spacers under the ski...
Received my customer survey today. This is where I will voice my opinion, VERY STRONGLY, about the delivery process to the dealer.
My dealer took very good care of me throughout the process from the snow check order to actual arrival. Dealer had no control over the FIASCO Yamaha created...
No viper
You should also check TROY CITY GARAGE in Troy NY. Did you snow heck sleds in April and what about your deposit? Dealers supposedly had to send them to Yamaha under your name. You should be calling Yamaha.
No viper
Where are you guys from in upstate NY. I am from Hudson Falls and got mine from SPORTLINE. They have sleds in stock now. I picked my LTX 2 weeks ago.
OOP'S
Not sure why they posted upside down. I took pictures on my IPad,with shutter release on my right hand, I will try turning pad 180 so button is on my left.
I picked up my Viper LTX Friday PM. I had dealer install pre-studded track, handlebar mounted mirrors, tall windshield and saddlebags.
I drove the proto types in March and found it to be a very fun sled to drive.
I ride Canada most of the winter and I'm looking forward to first trip New...
Does anyone know an easy way to get track and suspension lined up with bolt holes? I struggle with them every time . Just replaced exhaust donuts, exhaust flex pipes and bracket that holds the three pipe up, on an 06 Vector LTX. Want to finish up and put away for the summer.
