Weird, I have an email that "stevewithOCD" posted a Reply, but, ...I don't see it here in the forum. It was in response to the focus on this black knurled knob that I have in my setup and the chrome/silver one in the video: Steve said: stevewithOCD replied to a thread you are watching at...

    Clutch servicing

It's interesting, in the video - the knob is threaded onto a tube/column - that when turned, it's either lengthening or shortening that threaded column. That, I get. But mine is not threaded onto anything like that - it's basically a fat washer that the mounting bolt goes through. Turning it...

Well hot diggity snap - I'm figurin' shtuff out!!!!! I guess I loosen/tighten those 3 allen bolts the same exact amount, so that any change(s) are the same across all 3?

Great video, but, ...it's different on my Super Torquer. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaanh. Mine doesn't function like this one. But again, maybe when I get it back on sled I'll see something that I'm not seeing now.

Well, I know that I don't know jack-bleep about these clutches ...but from what I am seeing: turning the knurled knob does nothing, actuates nothing... But, admittedly, that's sitting on the bench. I will have to put it back on sled to see if it has the same results... I'll do that tomorrow...

    Clutch servicing

I find a bunch of videos adjusting "standard" secondaries, the ones that come from the manufacturer, but none for this aftermarket Super Torquer. All the videos for OEM secondaries show one locking nut with an allen bolt inside it. Loosen locking nut, then turn the allen - out to make belt...

Thank you both for weighing in. I think I'm learning something 8-). Wish I knew how to adjust secondary

Both are listed as "sliders", at least on the Partszilla site. I'm so confused.

Which are the part(s) in question, the "o-rings"? 10 and 11?

    Clutch servicing

Does anyone know how to adjust the secondary? One video said to take bolts out of the inner sheave and remove a washer, this shortening the bolt and allowing outer sheave to come closer to inner. There are no bolts on the inner sheave of this Super Torquer.

Well, barf in my hat!!! I have a feeling the previous owner had it setup wrong and that the shop I brought it too just put it back together the way I brought it in. (Maybe not). Thank you for getting back to me. It sounds like I should just ship it to you - just need to weigh cost/time (to...

But at the same time, the Secondary (Heel Clicker Super Torquer) is now in the cross hairs. The belt sits a good bit below the top/crest line of the sheaves, right about 1.5mm below. I believe it's a new belt. I measured the width of the belt at 35mm and where my manual says anything below...

    Clutch servicing

So, went to a local "Powersports" shop this morning with Primary in hand and they "cleaned and balanced" it. Took less than an hour and charged me $85. Seemed good. It definitely moves a LOT better than it did before; (which was barely at all). Installed on sled, torqued to 85 then backed...

    Clutch servicing

Keep in mind that I am not a savvy clutch guy, but, given how sticky everything is in this clutch, and the condition of that shaft... I'm inclined to think that a $250-$300 used on on ebay is a better alternative. Does anyone on here have a good condition used primary they want to sell me?

    Clutch servicing

Finally got clutch off (puller arrived !!!). But we got a tiny bit of play/movement prior to puller - enough to see the garbage in on the shaft in picture 4. Pic 3 is between sheaves. Pic 1 is self explanatory.... I don't have any more clutch tools to be able to seperate the sheaves (don't...
