The tripple-tripples when modded and setup well were certainly no slouches. They we would likely give a stock Apex all it could handle and more. Several years back I had a chance to ride a last gen Poo triple, I think it would have taken my stock Apex easily.
Mileage was a concern with them...
I'm 99.9% sure it hits the one on the shock first. The one on my Ohlins is coming apart as well.
It's been several yrs, so I don't remember for sure but, one time I removed the rear shock but left the skid bolted in. I let the sled down so there was nothing supporting it and was surprised to...
Keep in mind that many of those items are only available for a few years. The mfg's tend to produce only a limited number, and when they're sold out, that's it.
Going that far back may not yield very many available items.
Good luck.
I did mine bout 3-4 yrs ago. Don't recall any heat wrap. But then again the ole memory isn't what it used to be.
What I can say is that I did a repack because I thought it needed it when it really didn't.
Post a pic maybe it'll jog my memory.
2-3 hrs for an experienced wrench. And that's provided you don't have to re-shim. If you do have to re-shim, plan on an additional 3-4 plus cuz the cams have to come out.
I'm actually planning the exact same swap in the near future. I may or may not extend the tunnel though. Will determine that after the swap.
Another member did the R-motion swap last season with great success.
Scan a few pages back and you should find it.
Tracks usa makes some nice extensions.
Very cool! I'm still strongly considering a 20-30hp shot for mine. Just wanna join the 200 club.
What is your current clutch setup?
I'm sure some others will be able to chime in on some potential setups.
I started with Ulmers base setup and have tuned it to my hp level.
IMO 30hp jump is a GOOD...
Ok transfer is good. But I probably should have been more specific with my question. What I really want to know is how well it handles the bumps. The main reason I'm ready to get off my Apex is cuz it just doesn't handle the bumps very well. I want to know that it's a significant improvement...
Ok fella's, I may be ready to take the SW plunge and have a shot at a 2017 RTX. I'm interested in your opinions of the sled overall. But more specifically the suspension. How does it stack up to other versions of the Winder rear skids. And other brands skids as well.
I'm not ready to go with a...
I was under the impression that this was an open forum where people could voice their likes as well as their dislikes.
3 people wanting to switch from a XCR to a winder has nothing to do with having choices in your (expensive) purchase.
We are WAY past the days of "any color as long as its...
I just put the aggressive snowtrackers with pilot 6.9 ski's on my 06. Wonderfully light steering! But they do push in some situations. Icy corners, and powdery corners are 2 examples.
If corner carving is what your after, I would NOT recommend snowtrackers.
I feel like the ski combo I have on...
With other manufacturers letting the buyer pick color combos, engines, track, and the like, seems to me Yammi needs to do the same if they want to compete.
