Haven't mounted the led bar yet, but that will be much brighter than original. Friend of mine had one lying around, gave it to me. I'm currently driving with a powerful headlamp.
It's a stepper motor, but not the good old 4 wire, 2 coils. This one probably has 4 coils for more precise adjustment. 2 coils connected together, but with 1 power wire between them. Then 2 signal wires on each side. In that case measuring would be done from the middle pins (2 or 5) to the pins...
Ignore post #58 because the power will be inconsistent, so measuring the feeding connector won't help. I'm also not sure if it's broken either.
If you measure the ones that aren't pwr, there should only be 2 pairs (not pwr) that have x ohms. For instance if you measure 1-6 X omhs but also 1-3 X...
I think you should measure the connector for it. If the power is inconsistent, it won't help to just install a new IAC valve. That means whatever powers it (I'm guessing ecu) or the wires leading up to the connector is faulty. The IAC valve is likely toast, but you would like to know if there...
Problem solved! Had the display on a heated floor for a few days, connected everything and went on a trip, fuse still intact.
How do I keep my display condensation free? Also I did a headlight delete without any kit, great result.
Couldn't measure fault on this connector, the cover didn't have a scratch, but guess I could disconnect and take it for a spin. Only blown the fuse while driving anyway. Thanks
By the way "checked connectors" means I tested them with an instrument while moving the wires around. No measured short with all of them connected. So maybe some faulty equipment that only shorts when applied power? Difficult to find out which one without a proper diagnostic tool. Heard there is...
Tipped on right side. No visual damage inside. After waiting for the oil, I started driving and about 100ft away the display died. The reason I think of the engine connectors is that they're mounted with the wires going downwards to the connector, and I had a bit of an oil spill.
