They both are supposed to be 1.5" width tho, so from your measurements there was .03 difference from 2 of the same width belts. That's all I was really trying to get at from this thread, just checking manufacturing tolerances, or lack of for $175.00?

The new 827 I just received was 1.445. It's crazy how much these belts have gone up in price. I looked back a couple of years and had paid $95. Almost double in 2-3 yrs...wtf

You are correct, but if you're just looking for a "close" measurement to compare, it works. There's nothing scientific to what I was looking for, other than a same location measurement.

I use a crowbar wrapped with duct tape. You may want to retorque a couple times after running it. Mine usually takes a third retorque.

Go buy a bottle of Seafoam and dump it into everything with a motor. Empty bottle, fill with Boostane....good to go. I usually wrap it in a towel or something

Sounds very familiar to out in front of Timbers on Little St Germain.....for all those familiar with that part of the world. Everything is a trail sled there, with trail chisels....lol

I've found chasing the threads, cleaning them has worked well prior to reinstall as well. I haven't had any problems yet torquing to 10ish ft lbs w/nickel antisieze getting the bolts out multiple times. Always have reused the stock gasket.

Snow Outlaws is the NHRA Top Fuel, Funny Car, & Prostock classes on snow, just awesome to see in person.
