    Trying to decide X-TX-LE, L-TX-LE or ST-X

I understood it to be the shaft because they speak of smoother and less resistant sliding motion.

    Trying to decide X-TX-LE, L-TX-LE or ST-X

Are the regular QS3's kashima coated? I think only the ones on the LEs are?

    Trying to decide X-TX-LE, L-TX-LE or ST-X

Agree! The QS3R shocks on the LTX-LE are the ticket, period.

Mechanical Power Steering for Sidewinder - BTX & XTX "bone spindle" kits now available

I have CONFIRMED, and I WAS WRONG!!!! What are the chances the lighting and the angles I looked at these things made them both appear without wrench spots. Off to the optomitrist for me... Travis and the fab team are 100% CORRECT! Thanks for you quick responses and I hope all here see you...

Mechanical Power Steering for Sidewinder - BTX & XTX "bone spindle" kits now available

I'm hopeful I was correct with my quick visual inspection after I was done. Sled is 20 miles away so I can't go check easily, but will have someone look for me again tomorrow as well and let you know what they tell me. Maybe the fabricators missed one (or two)? Thanks much for the response!

Mechanical Power Steering for Sidewinder - BTX & XTX "bone spindle" kits now available

I was successful in getting the kit installed. At a liesurely pace, it took a couple of hours which included finding the right tools (which were minimal), getting sled into air on the lift, downloading an Android flashlight app, and putting everything away when completed. Was not terribly...

Sidewinder sled lift - What do you guys like?

If you are able to zoom into this pic, notice the orange rag I was able to slide between the belly pan and the lift because the Winder has a couple of metallic "bubbles" underneath, one on the right and one on the left which hold the belly pan off the cross member of the lift. The rag was...

    Let's talk studs

Your experiene is mine too. Didn't stud my LTE-LE either. Always studded my apes in the past. On good trail snow, I felt almost no difference. BUT, on lakes where there were corners, definitely had to keep the wits on high level. It wanted to slide out without warning. Just needed to be...

How Usable are the LE Shock Adjustments?

1 almost seems progressive as i don't recall bottoming more than once... but i ride on-trail in Ontario mostly. Trails pretty well groomed there. Those trail maintenance folks up there are god-like!

I'll second that! Winders will do that to a guy!

How Usable are the LE Shock Adjustments?

1 softens and makes bumps much less severe and i mean MUCH. when no bumps are present, stiffen shocks by switching to 2 because sled corners completely differently on 2. it remains more level with much less roll over feeling. on 1 on severe bumps, you can darn near ride one-handed through...
