    2012 phazer rtx

Good to hear, I'm glad you were able to get it all worked out! Regarding Plan B, a word of caution about using Stainless nuts and bolts together (and you may already know this), Stainless is prone to galling so when you start tightening everything up, it's possible for the material on the nut...

    Seat cover fitment?

That sounds about right, the sled was being parted out because they used the engine for a school project. I tried to get ahold of the seller, but never had any luck. The seat looked so good that I had to wonder if maybe there was another Phazer model I never heard about that came with that seat.

    Seat cover fitment?

I've been considering a similar project, with the goal of reducing weight and increasing space towards the back of the tunnel. I came across a picture a while back of a Phazer that had a shorter seat. It looked pretty nicely done, but I have no idea if it was a modified original seat, one-off...

Ahhh yes, now I see what you're talking about. I have the seat and frame next to me now and I forgot that the nut is in the "L" bracket, I was thinking it was in the seat frame. Those nuts are typically pressed in and spot welded at the same time (the weld is between the nut and "L" bracket...

If it's just the bolts that are stripped, you may be able to just chase the threads in the nuts with a M6 x 1.0 tap so that the new bolts will thread back in. If I remember correctly, the nuts the seat attachment bolts screw into are welded into the seat frame assembly, and if they are truly...

    broken jack shaft

I remember reading about some others that had this same problem, here's a link to that thread: http://www.ty4stroke.com/threads/broken-jack-shaft.127411/ As for how to go on from here, I would probably just replace the jackshaft itself. The reverse gearbox is not as complex as it may seem...

07 Phazer MTX Air Box Mod

I'm currently working on a project that will require some modifications of the airbox, and I feel that there are significant improvements possible by increasing the airflow, and especially if that air is colder. On my last sledding day of this season (June 1st), I had an unfortunate run-in with...

New to me 2009 Phazer RTX...

Looks like a nice machine! Had you been interested in and looking at Phazers for a while, or just found one you liked and went for it? I can imagine how badly you'd like to ride it, but on the other hand, you now have some time to get it 100% ready for next season! If you get realllllly...

    Mountain strap for MP

I'm guessing that you've already found a solution, but if not, here's another strap from Skinz Protective Gear. It looks like a pretty high quality unit, and I like the billet mounts. A few years ago I picked up a used handlebar from a GT that had the factory turned-down ends but no 'mountain...

    Still Riding?

I've been reluctant to bring it up because you guys will probably hate me for it, but here's a picture from my last ride here in Washington on June 1st! I'd still try to get out at least one more time (the snow is still 6-8 feet deep in most places) but unfortunately my sled and I took an...

    Under tunnel exhaust

I've wondered the same thing, and though I agree that there probably is not enough room, it may be possible to use oval tubing to gain a little more clearance. Obviously this would require a fair amount of fabrication, possibly including the muffler itself. http://www.drgas.com/oval_tubing.htm
