Seams to be very subjective. I really like the way my RTX rides and handles and I hear the same from the LTX crowd. There is only 1 track lug more on the snow between the two so the track length is really a non issue. If the two sleds were setup the same and you didn't know which was which...
If your coming to the give away do Mr Sled a favor and take care of your VIP status before you come up.
We are all their to have fun and taking care of silly paper work at the last minute is a pain.
Thanks!
A custom nose cone does exist. I have one for my race front end that I have on my Nytro MTX. They must be rare and hard to get as I've only seen them on Race team sleds. I was lucky. It was on the sled when I bought it.
Storage is always a problem and the tools that come with the sled are sub par at best.
I came up with this last season. It has worked well and I thought I'd share it. The tools are stored in a small container under the clutches. You will have to put two small slots thru your belly pan to...
I run C & A Razors on my Viper RTX. I went from shaper bars to slim jim doolies and the steerring effort was cut in half. Almost no darting and turns great. I haveFox Foat Evols and run 70/150 for pressures.
Power commander will not work. There is a wiring issue that has not been figured out yet. Also once the wiring is figured out, you would need the model of commander that does boost, the standard PCV will not work. Just use the gems controller that comes with the kit.
You will definitely need...
I recomend Ulmer as well.
I love the razors and use them on everything. If you find the steering effort to be to much switch from the shaper bars to the slim Jim doolies.
I really like the RZ's (razors). Put slim Jim doolies ( 6" or 9" carbide) on and you'll get get great performance good tracking and they seam to be noticeably easier on steering effort
I've given up on stock skis.
Aftermarket skis, like curves or my favorite, C & A Razors are the way to go. Put Slim Jim Doolies under them and you'll have sharp steering in almost all conditions with very little extra steering effort.
This happened to my brother's Viper on the Manitoba ride. The motor is warm/hot but the cold alarm comes up and the motor goes to safe mode for a second or two. It's a bad sensor. The dealer replaced it under warranty and problem solved.
