Relax! Yamaha is not lying Down.

Dear Yamaha. This is what I want in a sled. I am willing to pay more for your sled than anyone elses if you give me one that I can hop on and ride. I also want a local dealership. I do not want to spend countless hours and dollars trying to to make it run the way it is supposed to out of the...

    Oil pan drain valve

They are discussing this in a motorcycle forum I frequent. I think it may work better on our sleds, if there is one that fits. https://www.fumotooildrainvalve.com/

    Exhaust donuts

They will last a long time until you have to take it apart to change a flexpipe or something then I found them hard to reset them again. They get a little wore in. But I never tried any kind of sealant on them. I think I got over 12000 k on mine. I cracked my header and could not get them to...

    Engine Code 81

Do codes normally clear themselves when a problem is solved or do we have to clear them? Is your battery fully charged? While your unplugging and plugging stuff in, smear a little electric contact enhancer in the plugs.

    Testing with fuel tank off?

On my Nytro I could set the tank on a stool beside the sled with the back end facing the sled with lines still attached. I would do this with only a gallon or two of gas in it.

    Can you imagine this?

I just had my chain case apart yesterday. I wanted to have a look to see if anything seemed wrong. First time, 2500k. Happy to report I never noticed anything other than a few brass coloured flakes. ( hope that’s normal.). I did the first oil change at 550k and thought I might as well change it...

    Oil change kit

If I had warranty when I bought my 09 Nytro, or my 03 Viper, it would have been worthless. Nothing that would have been warrantied ever broke on them. Warranty on my Sidewinder likely will come in handy. Probably not for the engine though. But if Yamaha wouldnt have ditched me in my town, I...

    Oil change kit

Well, the way it looks to me it would be very expensive to keep these sleds running for 20 years. The engine likely will be the last thing to go. It only warranties oil wet parts. I think I am switching to Mobil. My buddy sells alot of it and I can likely get it for his cost.

Signed up? I was told I just have to prove I am using their oil as prescribed. He also told me it is just a tactic to sell Yamalube. lol

Found them online, pretty much same price a s stock, if not cheaper (comes with slides) Awesome, thanks. I will likely go this way

    Bent rail

So snooping through micro fiche, the "new", lighter 2019 141 Sidewinder rail is identical to a 2017 9000 Arctic Cat High Country. The 2018 Arctic Cat 9000 High Country is different and is same as 2017 and 2018 Sidewinder xtx. Looks heavier and stronger, but still looks like a direct bolt in...

This is my belief also. And the muffler has Arctic Cat stamped right on it.

    Going from nytro to winder

Keep the Nytro for a back up sled. The winder will be a much nicer sled to ride until it breaks and parts are back ordered.
