Judging by the quiet whispers, sounds like I made the right choice! :)They're two things wrong with the MCX, the ti pipes and air filter. Should be even more smooth sailing from here on out now that I have those two fixed.
Yea, I've checked for leaks and haven't seen anything. There's so sign of any oil or antifreeze leak that I can see.
I also notice on the left ti pipe there's a big 1/2" long crack right where that bracket piece basically rests on the pipe.
I checked my ti pipes and they're definitely warped and not the size they used to be. I also checked the 4 individual headers and they're no visible cracks. How do you know for sure if these are good or not? You guys are saying the right side one tends to crack?
The warped pipes could explain...
Lately my sled has no bottom end to it. 06 mcx turbo apex. Just put in 66g dalton weights with 2 17.2mm rivets. Would these bigger weights kill the bottom end snap that much? Seems like it doesn't even build boost until 8000 rpms. I used to be able to quickly wick the throttle and it would set...
So I was watching my guage today. Cruising at 7500 rpm, 55mph on the speedo (definitely not actually 55) my guage was reading right at 0 lbs. When the sled was off the boost guage was zero'd, at idle it was -4 and when cruising and letting off it would get down to -10.
So if it doesn't take...
Yea I just used the factory headlight/pod wiring harness, tapped in power/ground right into it and it's good to go. Hi/Low is now the on/off. Simple, 10 minutes tops.
I'm installing the one piece hood, removing my stock headlights and running PIAA's. My question is how I wire up my stock guage pod now that I no longer have the headlights. There are two plugs coming off the headlights and guages and wires from the guage plug go into both plugs. Can anyone...
I'm having this 'discussion' with a friend. If my boost guage is zero'd when the sled is off and at idle it reads around -3 to -5lbs which is the starting point for reading the boost level? The reading at idle or when the sled is off?
Using the above reference if my guage reads 10lbs at wide...
The big filter setup really woke up my sled. Real crisp now. Ran great today. Snow wasn't over the hood deep, so we'll see what happens then. But ran like a champ today with the big filter.
