    AC5S shocks

Thank you for doing the work on this topic. When Arctic Cat begins to operate under new ownership, perhaps the AC5 shocks will be fitted for use on the Thundercat.

Your next sled is going to be???

I rode an 858 a few weeks ago. After 12 years of riding 4 strokes, I was not impressed with it. I expect to keep my Tcat for a long time. If Acat survives and continues to use the 998, perhaps we will see a new Tcat in the future.

When is it time to replace drive sprockets?

IMO, it depends on condition. If the cogs are worn or damaged, I would then replace them.

    AC5S shocks

Considering the weight of a 998 verses an 858, they might be better calibrated for the 998 if they are too stiff on an 858. I was considering one for the front skid shock on my Tcat verses the stock shock. I need to check the length of the shock on the 858 skid.

    Ice Arrowhead holding up?

If it were me, I would put a fully clipped Rip2 back on it. If you do not want to use regular studs, I would consider the Woody's Twist screws in the lugs.

    1,000ft

Thanks for the great video. Love to see full weight trail sleds at warp speed. Takes lots of engineering, lots of time, lots of cash, and biggins!

    Whip or extension plug

I had one from Arctic Cat for my 1100 since I could not run the sled with the hood off. It was handy.

Difference between a Arctic Cat 900t RR and a Sidewinder - reinforcement wise

I also think comes with 4 wheels in the back not 3 like the tcat. I know I added the cross shaft and the 4th wheel on my tcat when it was new.

Paging Ms. La Niña, Ms. La Niña pickup line 998....

Upstate New York has had FEET/hundreds of inches of snow since January 3rd. Today may be the first day above freezing since December. Best snow conditions here in many years.

    Tapp Roller Spider

I assume you converted the button style to the roller style. Was there any wear from the buttons on the clutch?

    Mysterious vibration?!

What kind of studs are you running and what are their length?

Your next sled is going to be???

I see nothing that will replace my 22 Tcat. I rode it 110 miles yesterday in tight trails, switchbacks, and on the lakes. With EPS, GPS, a 225/240/270 tune, and all the small things improvements made through the advice on this site, I cannot think of a sled I would like better. I added a Ron...

    2024 Sidewider LTX GT EPS

We spend 100's of dollars on studs, and many hours drilling and installing them. The investment in tunnel protectors is minimal. Cheap insurance.

2022 Sidewinder ltx eps - getting rid of push

Thanks for info. I will try these on my Tcat. With EPS, I will order the 10 inch version. Can't have too much carbide. LOL

Trail gearing for tuned CAT with Tapp Primary

I see about 120mph. Good enough for me. I chased mph with my old 1100 mod stock turbo. 300 hp, geared taller, cams, etc etc. It was fun. Being quick to 120 is also fun. Its always about personal choice. Right now I am happy with what I am doing. I am sure that will last until someone irks me...

Trail gearing for tuned CAT with Tapp Primary

This is my trail set up: I run the stock Tcat gears with the TAPP Blue spring in my TAPP, and an 829 belt. More importantly, IMO is the secondary. I put a Ron Ward torsional kit in the secondary and everything is happy. Not sure the stock non torsional cat secondary lives well with the TAPP...

    Cfmoto snowmobiles

Textron took a 40 million charge off to reduce inventory cost on top of almost a 200 million loss and reduced the Textron stock dividend. They are pricing the company to sell, eating the debt. The buyer gets all the assets including the engine factory and a brand new sled line. Hope someone...

Thank you following up. All my ramps are in the A position and I am using a button Tapp clutch.

    Tomcat Performance Turbo Blanket

I used the turbo blanket from tom on the turbo and header pipe on my 1100. I had no issues with them and was part of my heat management on my modstock 1100. That sled made more heat in the clutch bay than my 998.
