Is that the actual position of the pipe after you removed the clamp, or did it collapse to that spot after you removed the clamp? You may have to loosen the bolts on the pipes (downward from the flex pipes), and push that pipe towards motor, to seat it. It's been a few yrs since I've had my full...

I drain the tank and the cc. Change out oil filter, and add 2.5 litres to tank, run for 15 secs or so, then add remaining .8 litres to tank. Run again...then check when cold. 8 yrs like this..8 oil changes..gotta love 4 strokes

Thanks for the offer bud. He ended up fabbing some new supports with some thicker aluminum pieces he had lying around...we'll see how she holds up.

You need the spring...and make sure the outer gear (that sandwiches the inner gear with that spring), sits in the correct position. It's easy to put in backwards..ask me how I know lol.

After further inspection, both the rail and support plate are cracked. Plate actually came off in two peices where it was cracked. He's pricing up a new rail...$195 USD.....ouch

Brother's 07 Apex 121 with a 144 extension. This crack was welded last season, but has cracked again. What options does he have for best fix? Reweld...? Reweld and add support plates...?

Buy new is my thought.
