normally yes on running longer than 10 minutes---unless the battery was poop.

sounds like stator went-maybe, first use a volt meter and get sled started and check to see what it's charging bat off battery-should be around 13.5 to 14.5 volts while sled is running, stator is same as altenator on car. make sure battery is fully charged.

8K is not high miles on that engine, but your right I've never had a issue like your's gotta be fuel or electrical, best thing is if it does it all the time then you can figure it out. I would do a compression check just to take that out of issue-and check coil's.

I can't say what they really do, because I installed them when I put K&N intake with re-jetting all at same time, but by theory they should help, I can say mine has ran spot on perfect for 3yrs like this.
