Any codes show up when it’s missing/sputtering? One thing I’m surprised none of us asked or mentioned earlier is fuel. The max 17 needs good fuel for sure. This is a pre knock protection map, and as per Ben’s recommendation and common sense this map should be run on 94+ octane.
While I also got the complete package...IMO any turbo sled at a minimum needs a boost gauge. 9/10 times people end of chasing problems and don’t know what they are running for psi without one
first thing...do you have a boost gauge? or the flasher so you can see what your boost it at....
It would be my first test to load eco trail back on and check boost psi....then load the 17 and check boost psi. Once you know what those numbers are go from there. IF boost is correct check all...
IMO once tuned stock helix angle is not enough. I haven’t jumped on the reverse angle train. Just now getting back to playing with stock secondary as my main sled has stm. Setting up a 50th for trail now. Was going to put more helix in it with the dalton spring, but leaving shorty for Cochrane...
mine had a slight crack, but after seeing this post I stopped by the local auto parts store. The Black "Ford" style clip fit perfect. I bought it separate for $3
NS1 is a super nice unit, and well priced for all the features you get. Plus you can mount it on most modern sleds. It’s android based and will run the GAP flasher app.
Of course no motor 100% "bullet proof" but the 998 has proven last season to be very reliable. I agree with using caution, and rating map requirements higher to ensure a safety factor. If you get bad gas full of water, well that can and will cause damage no matter what the tune.
