On a recent club trip to Millinocket Maine we had a mix of 2 and 4 strokes. We put all the 2 strokes at the back of the pack. It was observed that 4 stroke operators are like reformed smokers, Just cant stand the smell of smoke.

Grizz thanks for the reply. It went together fine at the II mark. The cable ties worked great to get the chain alligned on both gears. If only the tensioner was easier to get at but I am now more familiar with my machine.

I have seen both the timing marks I AND II used by posters. The manual shows the I mark. Which one is correct ?

The track tension specifaction from my 2010 Vector LTX GT manual is 30-35 MM 1.18-1.38 inches at 22 pounds. This is the same specifaction as my 2006 Venture. Are any others with 2010 machines and fully clipped tracks seeing hyfax wear problems?

My pilot screws were set at 1 1/2 turns out. Manual gives setting of 2 turns.

Forgot to warn you the pilot screw has a spring, small washer and O ring on top of it . Be sure to remove all the components including the O ring which will stick in the carb. If you spray carb cleaner into the housing with the O ring in place you may launch the O ring and have a problem...

Not sure if you have cleaned the pilot screws and passages. They are located outside the float bowl cover under the carb on the engine side. My 06 RS Venture had metal caps about 3/16 in diameter pressed into the carb body to prevent adjustment of the pilot screws. I think this was done in 06...

Checked with my dealer and my Vector will be shipped in november. Also noted on the Yamaha site that the spring registration voucher for a 4 year warranty on a 2010 snowmobile will now apply to prior year models.

I asked my dealer about 4 weeks ago and he did not have a date on my 2010 Vector LTX. I am a bit concerned as it appears that Yamaha has cut snowmobile production this year. Sold my Ski-Doo at the end of last winter and was able to test drive the demo LTX.
