Of course we are suppose to leave on the 16th for our yearly western trip and I decide to change my oil and while I'm doing that I decided to relocate the battery since its such a dumb spot for it and the starter relay, anyway.
As a note the sled ran fine before I started all this.
I built...
I need a fuel pump relay for an 07' APex Mtn part # 8FP-81950-01
If anyone knows of an aftermarket one let me know. Stupid thing just quit after changing the oil and relocating the battery.
It Clicks so I have power in but no power out, I meter it at the pump and at the relay.
I'm trying to find out the dimensions of the rear (non coilover) on the skid, does anyone know what the length is eye to eye both extended and collapsed.
I want to try using another coilover spring back there and dump the torsions but I don't store my sled near me so I can't just go pull it...
So some ****head decided to steal my friends 35' trailer with 3 Polaris 600 RMK snowmobiles and break into the traier next to it and steel my 2003 Raptor 660 and my extra set of tires/wheels.
My quad has +2 Alba a-arms, UM Racing Nerf bars, it was sitting on ITP SandStars on Dougla Blue...
Has anyone ever thought of putting a coilover shock in place of the gas only shock and pitching the torsion springs?
It seems like it would work and it seems to be what the aftermarket skid makers are doing.
Anyone done it or have any input on the subject..........
After I built my undertunnel exhaust last year I quickly threw together a piece to cover up the hole that was under the seat from the factory exhaust, along with making a seat bracket.
Seen here
Well I finally purchased a flat bottom seat, Mountain Mod, so it was time to make my tunnel...
Ok so I'm looking at getting a Timbersled front end but I don't know if I should get the 42" or stay with the 39".
Whats the advantage or disadvantage between the two?
I do my riding in WY in the Snowy and on the Sierra Madre's a majority is off trail.
I have an 07's Apex Mtn. I want to run just 2 inside wheels and I have a couple questions.
Is it possible just to mill down the stock axle to accept a 2nd inside wheel?
What size wheels can/should I use? Stock is 7" correct? Can I use 8" and whats the biggest advantage.
FYI I have...
I'm looking at getting a BOSS Highrise Flatbottom seat for my Apex MTN but I'd like to get a little feedback from people that have them.
Stuff like:
Fit?
Quality?
Installation?
Problems?
Are they any taller than a stock seat?
etc......
Looking for the good and the bad.
If you have...
I've read lots of threads in the APEX general forum about getting a 13 mm sway bar and I've seen a couple people in the Mountain section say to remove it.
According to a few members it helps tons with turning in powder but what about the trail ride to the powder and overall rideablilty?
I...
I use www.ronayers.com for my Street Bike and my ATV but where is a similar place for sleds.
They have microfiche and and everything just like you do using Yamaha's factory parts search but the prices aren't as high.
Anyone can help let me know I need to order specifiicaly 2 more...
Has anyone put an aux kill switch on this sled? I can think of twice last year that it would have been nice for the sled to have just stopped and I've always been a little anxious about a stuck throttle that might bounce me off and send the sled into a tree or worse, a fellow rider?
If you...
I'm looking to do something with my exhaust but don't want to spend 500+ dollars on a kit.
I'd like to have it exit under the tunnel if at all possible but I'm not opposed to it exiting towards one side or the other.
I have several R1 and 1000RR exhaust cans at my disposal, stock and...
I have a buddy that fabricates swing arms and A-arms for custom ATVs and such. He said he wouldn't mind trying to build me a lightwieght skid for my sled, then maybe produce them for sale to others.
I'm trying to get some pics of the lightwieght skids that are out there, if anyone can...
Well I got my reverse kit installed awhile back and it went really smooth. Escept that we were unable to locate the wires in the wiring harness that come down and connect to the switch on top of the lever bracket. Was thier suppose to be a wire in with the kit. If so Yamaha left it out because...
