Look for a 4 stroke Riot seat as well. They had mountain seats. I don't know how many years, if any, the mountain seats came with heat.
worse comes to worse, you can install a cheap heated seat pad in a non heated seat, easy to do.
I think this may have been true when Textron owned CAT. I believe they also owned Weber motors. I had heard the same rumor back then.
I think at this point Cat would design their own motor.
I would almost say EVERY stock sled feels anemic compared to a 998. I rode another 850 Polaris last week in Quebec. It felt like it was a 340. Hit the throttle at 60 mph and----nothing. More noise, vibration was all you got. The Polaris rider got off my 240 Riot with a big grin on his face...
Wasn't this happening to the 998's also on a PEFI flash?
I have purchased multiple Hurricane flashes without any problems, they may cost more, but I know what I am getting.
Yes, and if you do it right, the hole you need to drill for the lower edge of the windshield will line up perfectly with the hole in th end of the headlamp assembly making it super stable.
I wonder if the 2 stroke vibration is doing the damage.
I have over 2000 miles on my ADAPT with no issues. Spider is still tight.
I just got a torsional set up from a member here and I cant say what kind of performance gain I am getting, if any, but I can tell you that it is noticeably...
I think A/C had already been thinking of a four stroke for this chassis from the beginning. Judging from I heard from some engineers at the New Hampshire grass event when the Catalyst came out, they already had some designs worked out.
I believe the unwillingness of Textron to spend on...
I think the other thing to make sure of is that the oil is not contaminated with fuel. If fuel has gotten into the crankcase and contaminated the oil, it will give you low compression numbers and burn oil, no matter how many times you add oil.
The P.O. could have flooded the sled once or more or...
Did anyone have any success with the Yamaha Ring Free shock treatment when these first starting burning oil back in the day?
If i remember correctly, it was the oil control rings on these early Rx's that where sticking, correct?
I know that ring free stuff is pretty nasty stuff, I still have...
The old Yamaha EPS felt "spongy" to me. Almost like there was a big rubber connector between the bars and skis. I sold my EPS Apex after one season also.
The EPS on my 2024 Riot and my previous 22LTX GT was seamless. No stiction at all. Smooth. Everyone who comes from a different brand cant...
No problem, I just thought it was a different way to do a "tipped" rail. I didnt know if it had been done like this before.
I was thinking of added these rails to my 146.
Has anyone else noticed the new 146 " tipped rail " is actually just cut out from the 137" mark back? The back of the rail doesn't even have hyfax on it. It looks like a wheel added at the 137" mark and smaller diameter rear wheels.
I does not seem as though the rail is actually "tipped" like...
Yes.
Is your sled tuned? My SM tune is starting to bend the lugs @ 1800 miles on a 1.6 Cobra. The traction and stopping power are great, longevity?---I don't know yet.
