so my true boost is only seven. I wonder why mpi couldnt tell me that. That means pulley change and change the boost signal. I hope your right. I have my bypass plumbed in on the engine side of throttles.
Apex with mpi stage one. I just bought the sled with the dealer installed supercharger. gems fuel is right on across the board and getting full rpms but when pulling a hill at 3/4 throttle its at full boost 10. and when going to full throttle it drops to 7 psi. It still has full rpms. Mpi...
first real ride on the sled at elevation and the boost runon wasnt too bad but the fuel mileage was crap at 5 mpg. has to be because its boosting all the time. 8 psi even at a light cruise of 40 mph on the level
2006 apex. the thottle stays open for a couple seconds after letting off. No problems with the cable. just think the boost is holding open the blades for a second or two. why? I put a bosch pop off on and it didnt fix the problem. Do I need the mpi blow off to fix this problem?
afr is reading 16 or so at idle and still lean just off idle then goes to the proper afr upon accelleration. I run just a little choke while riding but want to know if turning the power screw will fix this. which way?
that seems to be what happened. I forgot all about the shutoff valve and the idle circuit must have frozen.. That must have kept the pitot jet from pumping more fuel when boosting causing a lean condition. runs good now. the box of parts that didnt work just got bigger. lol
sled idled perfectly but ran terrible over idle. just checked fuel pressure at idle 5.5 . Compression 180 across the board. added oil to cyl and it went up to 200 lbs. checked vacuum at carb boots and was erradic at 5 inches vacuum.
what happens if the carbs freeze up on t-rx1. will they run lean? I forgot i shut the valve on carb heat line and sled was running great for about 8 miles then went to crap. white plugs . same jetting for 2000 miles. 28 degrees f. and very humid. pulled sled out to be safe
justin said mount it on air box. reading through the posts ted jannety says before the pito. That makes more sense to me but isnt justin supposed to be the bender expert?
just got a bosch bov from justin but he didnt say anything about the small vacuum hose and where it goes. Ive got a rear mount bender on rx1. should i mount bov on air box or before the pito? or does it matter that much?
