Mine was broke out of connector both ends too. Replacement cable can be ordered from Yamaha. Threaded connectors both ends, should be able to install with skid still in sled.
greased mine first year with no further, but have had two other issues. First when it is really cold the beeper wants to stick? Secondly, on my last trip it would pop out of reverse under load? I assume this is may be a slack drive chain, so I have adjusted it tighter.

Sorry No pics, put it back together last night no issues. As far as duability goes, only time will tell. Weight is noticeably heavier in the new pipes.
:jump: Breaking News; Yamaha has released replacement Y pipes made from stailess steel in the last couple of days. I just picked a set up from my Dealer in Markham $85 cdn each. Wow! the OEM were $359 each. Talk about being a happy camper. ;)!
