i hear your frustration. hand warmers that suck, excessive hyfax wear, having to add an extra heat exchanger to help with cooling. all these items yamaha must be aware of. consumers shouldn't have to deal with these problems. they should be taken care during design. i wish companies would take...
first time i used my new electric shield. started to melt around the edges. now it's wrinkled messed up. any ideas? i'll be taking it back tomorrow but just wanted to see if anyone has seen this.
i tried the slidekicks. didn't think they worked that well, plus didn't like the way they stuck out the sides of the slide rail when they were up. i could see bad things happening there. i bought a set like the ones you ordered and love them.
my wife loves the vector. she's about 5'4" and handles it just fine. she likes the sit down style of her 05' rather than the rider forward. she also has medical issues and can still ride it for allot of miles. a great choice in sleds.
love mine. handling is all in the suspension setup. i did upgrade the handlebars to improve the warmers. and add the rear heat exchanger. i ride it and enjoy.
i added the rear heat exchanger on both my sleds. it helped allot. but i am still going to add ice scratchers for those hard conditions to help with hyfax wear.
my handwarmers sucked. my dealer sold me an upgraded set of handlebars for $25. and it didn't take very long to swap them out. it might be worth a call to your dealer.
i tried the slidekicks. didn't like them and took them back off. adding the rear heat exchanger did it for both my sleds. i am still going to add some regular ice scratchers for hard conditions.
I live in Fryeburg. we didn't get much here. we're waiting to hear if there's enough snow to get the groomers out. right now i think it's pretty boarderline. we don't normally have enough snow to do anything until now anyway.
