As far as I am aware...the RX1 and early Apex primary clutches with the set screws are the same.

When running an 8DN belt[hard like steel] you will develop a groove down low on the primary. The higher the engagement the sled is set up for the more the groove develops...kind of normal on most yamaha primaries.

I have had the brake off my SW a couple times and just bled it like you would a normal brake system and it was stubborn but did work....lucky I guess.

I run the Older style Apex primaries with all the set screws on all our sleds 2 stroke and 4 strokes...they are a very reliable robust clutch.

I keep a couple new and a couple used primaries and secondaries for both my SW and Apex in "parts heaven' above my garage but I still operate 3 sleds that one day may need one so not willing to part with them.

I was thinking the same...maybe an internal leak in the caliper?

I have used Thunder Product rollers for many thousands of miles on my SW and they have stood up well but I have pretty well always had an Apex clutch on it.

I have a spare RM stator in my " parts heaven" for the eventuality that my 2019s stator needs replacement. Good to know the RM stator works good.

Did you complete the new stator install yet? No starting issues now?
