    Finally Winter!

Saturdays ride was good. Red River was excellent and a lot of powder in areas as it's out of the wind. Did a bit of cross country in open fields and the side wind made it feel like we were in a white out blizzard. One of the guys might have gotten frost bite on the one cheek from it. Once we hit...

What's the story with phazer handwarmers?

There is some debate that the heat is heat sinked away to the handle bars, at least on the 07s. I heard of some trying to add a thin layer of insulation between the heater element and the bar with some success. I ride in Manitoba. Get's cold hear. I've got 3 different brands of sleds. The...

    I don't think I can justify YES???

Never heard of YES. Now it's too late. But I'm on side of I do good maintenance and believe Yamaha does a good product especially in reliablity. That's why I bought the phazer. If I run into problems with the Phazer I will see how it works out. If I have a bad experience then it will send me...

    Finally Winter!

Snow base is low in our area and north of Winnipeg. South east of province is good. Been out about 4 times now. Some where at the 600 km distance so far. Saturday we head striaght south and see what it's like. The Red River will be good in any case. Hopefully will be a good 250 - 300 km but have...

    Finally Winter!

You guys are still killing me. Still not enough snow to ride here in Manitoba Canada. Darn wierd! However I believe it will come and with business before Christmas I barely ever get out any ways until January. Once we get snow I hope to darn near live on the machine with friends on the trails...

    Exhaust turnout

Excellent idea. I don't need chrome. But will opt for it if reasonable. I'll let you know what I find as well. Thanks Ron

    Exhaust turnout

Was looking at that same pipe. I want to turn exhaust away as I want to mount a small gas can on the back for night riding when the stations are closed. Plus of course if we get lost on the way back or miscalculate the turn around point of the ride. The turn pipe will defect heat the way I want.

    Making my own Skidplate?

If anyone has pictures of skid plates they used send a pic. Are these the same as flotation plates? Also will they help the issue of damaging the rubbers on the tie rods from snow packing them and either popping the grommets out or ripping the boot itself? Was looking at one for $90...

    Finally Winter!

rukus. Hope your sled gets back soon. When do you expect it? Bet your bitting at the bit. Have fun when you do. If it helps you will still be ahead of us in Winnipeg. No snow in the forecast for the next 7 days. Hopefully after that but too far away to forecast.

    Finally Winter!

You guys are killing me. I can't wait much longer. However have fun keep sending the pics and video. Makes me go work on the sleds just to be ready for when we do get a good dump.

    2007 Phazer starter issues revisited...

I had my starter crap out a long way from home. But I noticed warning signs along the way. At each stop for gas, food or warning huts the starter just didn't turn over as well. Sounded like the battery wasn't charging between the stops and each time you tried starting there was a little less...

here it is (R1 exhaust clip)

Sounds good. Feel gealous as not riding yet due to snow conditions. What kind of muffler did you go with? Was it easy to change.

    Buying an 07 Phazer Questions?

I like the news from everyone going up to 19 and 20 tooth gears. My FX was 18 and I replaced with a 20 getting ready for this season. If we ever get snow in Winnipeg I will update you on my findings. Reason I went to 20 tooth is the GT has the same clutching going by what I saw in the manuals...

    Should I buy a Phazer????

dropping down from a 2 stroke 700. You will notice a deffinate difference. I agree to what ruckus said. I have 3 different sleds, each have different qualities. Of the 3 my favourite is the 05 MXZ. What I want and hope for from the phazer is reliabiltiy and the longer life of the 4 stroke...

    Should I buy a Phazer????

blkmax600. Same area normally Belair, Pinefalls over to Whiteshell down to boarder. Email palahicky@shaw.ca and well do some riding (if snow gets here!) Always expanding riding opportunities.

    Should I buy a Phazer????

Just an add on for your consideration. I ride groomed trails and a good day for me where I'm happiest by saying that was a good ride is about 250 miles. It's reliable, only common complaint I heard and experienced was the starter issue, so get an updated one. Other thing I wish it had was a...

    Should I buy a Phazer????

Have 07 FX which is a short track. Nice machine. I'm 210 lbs and top end is 75 miles per hour at best. I put on the higher windsheild at one point and broke it and went to a medium. Stick with the tallest. Legs are not usually a problem for me as in the trails I find I have to do a fair amount...
