I ended up putting 1,000mi on the Ice Arrowhead. It's a fabulous track and doesn't look like it has 10mi on it.
Vibration is slightly there as compared to the oem rip2 silent track but nothing to speak of really. Worth the price in my opinion.
I've got over a thousand miles on the new Ice Arrowhead 130 and I could not be happier. We had a bit of a thaw yesterday and it got cold last night. The glare ice performance on trail is absolutely stupendous. This track exceeds all my expectations in every condition. Worth the steep price tag.
I broke the swaybar on my 22' w/eps so removal was a non issue. Getting the new one in was a chore, ended up bending the opening a bit to wiggle the bar past the steering, but it can be done.
To be honest, if I break this bar I'm going to go without and just set the front shocks to firm. When I...
Dad got me started in snowmobiling in 1975, I sold out in 1984, then back in it in 1993, then sold out in 2008, then bought back in 2019. Now in my 60's I'll probably be all done for good the next time I sell out or cash in. I love snowmobiling but it's a poisonous love affair.
Ice arrowhead is beefy, beefier than the oem RIP2. I had to step up my transfer adjuster, soften the torsion spring a notch(I did lose 15% of my weight in the off season) and took a turn and a half out of the center. Much harder to get it to pivot around a corner, but it will. The braking...
I just put 75mi on my new ice arrowhead, so far so good. Really have to adjust my riding style, can't really back it into a corner and can't throttle out of an apex till past middle. Stopping and accelerating are much much better than the stock Rip2 no studs. Hope it holds up, the performance...
Ice arrowhead installed on my Tcat, going to run it this Monday December 8th in oldforge for the first time...very excited, almost first ride on a new sled excited!
One thing I really feel good about is eps on the new chassis, maybe that means cat already has plans on paper to add a big rip roaring turbo 4 stroke and delete the pro-cross.
When you say you've had "Ice" tracks before, does that mean you've run the Ice Arrowhead 130?
There is a considerable difference between the new Ice Arrowhead and previous prestudded Camso tracks.
Like twice as many studs and the angled lugs just to name two.
I get the effectiveness of push through studs, but for 137" track there's 320studs with of 80 scratch lines, I would venture to say it might be pretty darn close to 144 push through studs.
