Nah go with something off like the triumph speed triple the carbs would already be set up in the sence of throttle plates ect linked and all you need is an adapter to go from the intake sid eof the head to the carbs. if they have an aluminum intake on them if you were to send me the carbs and...
If you have the 1.3l in yours look into something smaller carb wise like the r6 carbs or even maybe smaller than that. id say something with like a 33mm diameter throat on it. for the 1.8l vws 36mm are the best so id think smaller would be better on the 1.3l If you need any help let me know im...
Thanks everybody thats added insite despite this being on a car and not a sled. Some of the forums ive looked for info on have just bashed me for posting car stuff trying to get some info.
Sweet i was going to go with the aeromotive fpr so thats good to know i have the re-circ lines in the car already I just need to figure out my pump situation. I currently have a carter 4070 pump but its only good for 15psi.
Yeah im also planning on running a wideband set up so i can keep a close eye on my AFR's to keep them in check. Im excited to jump into this and if i can get into the supervisor in training program at my work im going to be doing this sooner. Also i plan on running an adjustable rate fuel...
Ok this is back from the dead now. heres another question. my plans have changed a bit and im planning on actually supercharging this mut of a build instead. How much boost could i run through the carbs without haveing to worry about replacing the caps and T's?
Thanks alot for the info. This is kind of what im going for with my car in the end but its probably about 6 months out before i dive in full on tear it apart and build it up. Thank yu guys for the info on the carbs and boosting them.!!
I think the person who listed the carbs lied to me to be honest they look more like R1 carbs and ive been told that a couple times now. Ive also been told the R1 carbs are almost identical except float angles and coolent lines. The R1 carbs are supposed to be at an angle.
The reason im using these carbs is there close to what i need spaicng wise on the outside and theyve been used before. Not to mention easy to get a hold of at a decent price. Like poor mans ITBs and now i dont need a standalone fuel injection. So if this works i might end up with maybe 1000 to...
Yeah for now im getting it going N/A but im really wanting to turbo it. Im not planning on running more than 8-10psi through it because of the cr my motor is at but heres a couple of pics. Its not complete yet and im going to make a better intake mani here in a month or so.
Well im not going to be using a kit from anywhere in the sense that im actually planning on doing this to a carb swap i did on a car. So what all is involved on the carbs?
Im sorry im definately a noob to this forum but i figure this is the best place to get my info on how to set up my carbs for boost. Ive tried the search feture but it lead me to 5000 threads and none on the first 5 pages healped me. The carbs are from a RX1. If anybody can help me by either...
