Yep, my focus is already shifting to the motorcycle. I'm going to do the storage on the Cats this weekend. Need to do the upgrades on the Venture. Thanks for the offer to do some sledding up Timmins way. I'm definately heading north early next season.
Glad to hear your pop nabbed one at...
1050K! I'm moving to Timmins! Nice update. I've also got my registration numbers from LetterTech. They went on real nice. I'll eventually get around to posting some pictures.
Hey Rock. Just ordered the passenger heater fix and the starter saver. It won't be until next year for me to give testing feedback. In the meantime I will post pictures of the install when the time comes. Nice site to order from.
Glad to hear to made it. Are you going to do the oil change yourself? I never did spend much time trying to dial in the suspension. Unfortunately the riding season here is done. I'll have to wait for next season. But either it loosens up after some mileage or it's just a matter of getting...
Excellent, congratulations! LaLaLa
6000rpm will get you at least 80kph. Sorry, I haven't paid more attention to give you a definitive answer. Maybe someone else will chime in. The dealer can also move on YPP pricing if that is something you are considering. First thing I'd do before...
The only reason I can think of to go with the '11 over the '10 would be resale value. If that isn't a major concern then go with the best price. At the very least Yamaha is knocking $2200 off the list of left over 2010s, $1000 off 11s http://www.yamaha-motor.ca/promos/?group=S&id=129.
Good...
My wife and I did 103km. Played hookey ;)! . Ya, it's a little tippy. Nothing to get too upset about. I haven't tried tuning the suspension in yet. Going thread hunting and will check out the recommendations. Love this machine though. For the bad points. The track does howl, especially...
I'd say the best bet is to get your tape measure out and see what the sled needs for clearance. Then when trailer shopping bring your tape and maybe a flashlight. Hop in the back and see for yourself. That's a bugger though, having a trailer at home that's long enough but not high enough...
Won't be breaking out the ear plugs yet. Didn't notice much track noise with mine. Sure, you can hear the track. But this things so quiet you're going to hear more things that the exhaust note isn't covering up. Opinion is the howl is worse with the RS Venture though.
Try this one for the...
We got a fresh 10" or so today. So my wife and I went for a little run, just nearby. Stayed off the trails until they get groomed. Holding out hope for some good seat time by the weekend.
First impressions. Takes off without much RPM. Didn't actually look to see what it was, but seemed...
I don't know red ... tonight was my first time riding a 4stroke sled. Gotta say it's pretty sweet. This one feels a lot more refined than any 2 stroke I've ever ridden. Still if it meant giving up the farm :dunno: . I think the most important thing is to get out there riding. Heck I've had...
For sure I go to Sportsland neighbour. They're good people. Bought two cats from them and tried to get the Venture but they didn't have a GT.
Just saying when you buy something in the states try to do USPS or you get hosed.
'09, '10, '11 RS Venture GT engine appears to be based on the Nytro triple.

I'm anxious to see just how tippy this thing is going to be. I find modern sleds to be extremely planted ... so I'm not sure if everyones idea of tippy is the same. Some seat time will tell. Thanks for the pointers on the Yamaha Mt skis. Wonder if my RollerSkis will fit.
Sled Dog, I tried...
I don't know. Seems like most of the sleds I run into on the trail are either Yamahas or Skidoos. Still happy to add to the population. It's my first Yamaha sled. My first 4 stoke for that matter. I guess that calls for a couple sign guys ... :yam: :4STroke:
