Well it’s been awhile since I updated this thread. I still do love this sled it is my go to sled. It’s had a hard life the last few years. Had to replace the track and rail Last year. This year the fuel line rotted out in the tank after the pump so got very little fuel pressure. Also had the...
I can’t comment on the 850 tank but I put a rev tank on my nytro turbo and it wasn’t that big of a deal. I had to make an aluminum cover where the fuel pump screwed in and I used 2 Arctic cat fuel pickups. One in front and one n back. And since you have the 270 kit you already have an external...
On the yamalaris I put a apex coolant bottle on it. It’s small and does the trick. I was looking for just a filler neck and found the apex bottle for cheep so that’s what went on it.
Just a thought but do you actually need the overflow bottle. I tossed mine years ago once the coolant level is good you can forget about it. Since weight is a goal of this build i would delete it.
Well I finally am done sledding for the year. I went out last Saturday for the final ride with it. I really like this sled it still is so much fun to ride. I put in 950 km on this one and only 350 km on my turbo nytro. Unless the snow is crazy deep I don’t ride the nytro much as this sled is...
I’m no clutching expert. I just try different thinks and go off what others tell me. Clutching is all about balance. Do some searching on here for viper setups.
I would ya take out the green spring in the secondary and put on the cat epi purple. The green is way to stiff. And start there. And most folks are running a blue brown blue in primary. 47 helix is the go to for these sleds as well
I once had my intercooler pop off. Now I put (right stuff) gasket maker on all my intake joints and no problems since. Works really well just don’t do it if you will be taking it off lots.
Check all the black grounding blocks in the wiring harness there is 3 or 4 of them. Also on mine the plug to the solenoid above oil tank had a bit of corrosion and caused the same type of issues.
If it were me I would run the impulse tank for now. Maybe put another fuel pickup in the back and run a external 255 pump and reconfigure next summer when there is not snow on the ground.
Man I totally understand what you mean with the header bolts. Until I put the locking header bolts on mine I had to retighten header bolts a few times and they are a bitch to get at and actually get tight. The build is coming along. It will be a arm stretcher.
