You can buy them stock 47 from any Yammy dealer. Some guys can get away with the 51. I find with my riding style and 174 i cant use it. It just opens up to fast and the belts slides down into it. I tend to ride slow and with lots of hp leaning on it on sidehills. Also i love donuts lol. If...
The Cat green and EPI purple are very stiff. 157 lbs. Everyone here in the mountains uses them between all the different turbo kits. Even Alpine uses the purple EPI and paints it black LOL
To wind to 10-50 degrees is more or less a two man job.
i always burned belts with the 51.
Where is the belt riding in the primary ? My guess is not very high.
Ditch the 8BU fully loaded. They are only good to 260ish if that. I would do the following:
Dalton DTAY-2 Adjustable weights (between 81-85 grams is my guess)
14.5mm rollers
B-W-B spring
47 helix
Arctic Cat...
It took me a long time to post this but here goes:
I bought a bunch of things from Tony Smieja at Bullhead Moto last December. I ordered the following:
2 Ski Mounts
2 clutches
2 sets ski rods
2 custom billet shocks
All to the tune of 900 bucks or so. I have yet to get it all. He...
You think because it looks good it is game changer. That's pretty funny. A game changer would be a 180hp 430-490 lb machine with Yamahas famous reliability. It needs to be simplified and have less junk on the motor. More like there sport quads not like there utility quads. Looks has nothing to...
Premium TRAIL sled maybe. That will never fly on a mountain sled ! We want major weight concessions from Yamaha, not some electric pump with power steering fluid runnin through it. We need a sub 500lb high horsepower machine, not some trail machine that can be steered by a 5 year old.
Who wants power steering on a sled. Yamaha must really sell sleds to the flatlanders. I think they have achieved a Homer Simpson sled. Unreal. Who wants a sled that feels 100 lbs lighter. You need it at least a 100 lbs lighter when it's buried in 8 ft of snow. Let's see that EPS get you out of...
Are you guys kidding about the power steering ? That was the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Complicated system that adds weight. If you need power steering on a sled maybe you should stay at home and surf TY. I hope Yamah reads this before it goes to production. We don't need a Homer Simpson...
If you want trouble free buy a MCX turbo. Don't waste your time with a X-static bat cap. They are junk. Buy a 7S battery for the YZ400. Will work the same if not better and cost you 80 bucks a batt store. MCX 07+ kit rocks, 1000km and not one single issue.
MCX is the only way to go ! I took a lot of time and effort and got everything as close to perfect as i could and it has payed off. I have close to 1000km on it and it has not missed a single beat. It has been flawless ! Lots of good guys to help make it perfect from the beginning. I have...
