All the engineering changes were done by AC...The problem with the Arctic Cat, Yamaha "marriage" is Yamaha is not really a partner, and never has been going all the way back to the Viper motor fiasco.
Could we just stop this little fantasy, it is going on 6 years. The AC sled line was still profitable when Textron bought them. They bought the factory and all the patents. The 3 dozen people that make Arctic Cat sleds special are not moving anywhere. If they were they would go 56 miles up the...
Your "friend" is correct. Yamaha wants to sell motors, they have zero interest in sleds. As has been obvious for the last decade. Karpick's last adventure was promising a big sponsorship to sled racers from a belt company. Oddly enough no belts ever showed up.
Ok...sweet plan...except there is no clean sheet Apex. And Yamaha doesn't build sleds any more. And hasn't come up with a clean sheet design in a decade. Other than that you are good to go. Arctic Cat has done a sweet job with the Yamaha motors. Even after the Yamaha fiasco in 2014 when they...
You have been stunnin
There is no Apex market...that has been proven for the last decade. Ask a dealer, Jesus man give up. You have been stunningly wrong for a long time. Give up.
Just stop....Yamaha likes selling Arctic Cat/Textron snowmobiles. They are selling more of them than Yamaha has done at any time in the last 10 years. Yamaha is making money and keeping their dealers happy. Textron is making money, and even before the buy out the AC snowmobile division was...
It is absolutely amazing to listen to the same crap from some of you for the last 5 years. There has been basically zero Yamaha engineering in TRF...ever. That has been the Yami PR that everyone bought. Textron is going to sell nothing of the AC production facilities in TRF, or the engine...
Why
Why would Yamaha purchase a snowmobile company after running theirs into the ground. They decided it was not worth it. The new Textron guy has stated that Yamaha is a valued customer and engine supplier...that is where we are at unfortunately....
He was the one that signed off on the free belts from Gates about 10 months ago to all the USXC racers, that is the person everyone sent there impressions back to. I really don't give a #*$&@ about your lunch date. Seriously.
