    Advice needed regarding chain failure

    Chain case failure. My guess is you either lost the keyway on the secondary or the cotter pin is missing from the top drive gear and the nut backed off. Either way, whoever worked on the sled should be responcible to cover the repair.

    Hello, I have a 2012 Apex SE which supposedly has stock geaing of 24/37 with a 70 link chain. I want to drop one tooth on the top and install a 23 tooth gear. Do I need to replace the stock chain ? Any info appreciated. I did search but could not find a definitive answer. Thank you...
