Removed both sides today. Went fairly well. Used only one bit. Was a $6 Milwaukee cobalt one. Coolant all over the garage floor. Pressure tested them and they both had 2 hairline cracks where the skid brackets rub. So 4 hairline cracks total. Took a dremel with a round head diamond bit and...
once i drill them out, i'll inspect them. if they are just hairline cracks, this may be the way to go. looks like PC7 is available pretty much everywhere. thanks for letting me know about it
searched all over, do you remember who makes them? muffinworks is out of business and didn't see any anything Travis has at BOP. Maybe it's time to retire the ole girl and get a new SRX?
How screwed am I? Got drips on both sides coming from rear skid brackets. I see a post from 2008 but nothing more. There are a few bolts that attach the brackets and about 20 rivets. Now what?

I didn't find much on this subject, so I figured this would help someone. As I was trying to remove the 36mm top gear nut, I put too much pressure on the chain tensioner stud and it snapped off. This is what I did to repair it instead of buying a new rear half chaincase cover.

Just put a set of Oillite bushings in my wife's phazer tonight. I put them in the freezer for a week, to shrink them ever so slightly. They still didn't push right in, so I pursued them in with my bench vise. No slop or play in them
