I took a second look and my skid is showing this same wear, I am going to try the 160lb spring Stingray is running and see if that helps. Is the Arctic Cat spring the best option Stingray?
I have noticed a slight rubbing sound while descending with no throttle but chain tension is good and I checked last night and I don't have any rubbing issues. I have the 153" standard MTX with MPI 180 kit, Is this issue only effecting the 162's?
I bought an extra Thumb screw for the exhaust side and that helps to keep the snow from finding it's way in, I have also heard of the Arctic cat guys running a bead of silicone around the boot. I haven't had any issues since I added the thumb screw but deep powder has been hard to come by this...
I like the feel of the steering I just want it to pick the skis up a little more. Right now they come up about 8" when I hammer it and I want to be able to get them higher for crossing creeks/dodging trees, ect.
I have a 2015 Viper MTX base with 153" track and MPI 180 turbo, my question is how do I get more lift from my front end. I want it to pick the ski's up a little more than it does now. Should I tighten or loosen my center shock? Also will letting the limiter strap out one hole help? Thanks...
I routed my MPI kit through the hood yesterday, took about 1 hour. All you have to do is cut out a few of the slots in the vent and it goes right through.
Update: First ride with the intake through the hood and WOW what a difference, I gained 300 rpm and the sled pulled much harder than...
Hey Matt, I only see a trail clutch kit on your web site. Do you have a clutch kit for 8,000ft and up? My dealer can't get the clutching dialed in so I want to go with a kit.
This is my first turbo as well, my intake temps get real hot under the hood. I am also worried about the snorkel getting hung up on tree branches. How do you guys with experience think a vented side panel would work? Like this one from arctic cat.
I see the advantage of a roll over valve, but mine is puking oil during side hills and like everyone says pretty much if its not level and running it's loosing oil out the breather hose. Will the roll over valve help while the machine is running?
I have the same problem, and snow is stacking up fast in Co. I spoke with Matt at MPI yesterday and he said the turbo's got held up in customs and should arrive to them this week. He said they are shipping a ton of kits next week, I just hope I can get mine by mid December at this point.
