I haven't heard about the paradise basin ride myself. In my opinion I would recommend on renting an 800, the rental companies will have the newest sleds available. Misewell get something that has the extra power there in case you need it. I've personally rented from Snow Peak rentals in Golden...
Hey Ruggy. I would also suggest going to Golden, there are a couple areas I ride out there quite often that are really good. The most popular and easiest to get to would probably be Quartz Creek, usually is quite tracked out it's directly off the highway on your way from Golden to Revelstoke. I...

Still waiting for fox zero pro rear shocks, 2" challenger track and 2 wheel conversion kit.
I'm in the same boat right now Bodinefan. I ended up ordering some fox zero pros for my mountain lite (even though the model isn't listed). I'm hoping they will fit or I will be able to make them work. They are supposed to be shipped here soon, if you don't find anything in the meantime I will...
I used a high heat blanket similar material to the fire blankets that welders use. It sits between the heat shield and the fuel tank. Also used header wrap along the entire exhaust system. I also did replace underneath the heat shield, can't remember if it was the adhesive style or not. I would...
You bet, yes he charged me $214 to cut it. Thought it would just get him to do it instead of trying to cut it myself. All together all said and done it was $1042.00 just to give you an idea.
I Just ordered a Camoplast challenger through http://www.trackscanada.net/2.52-pitch-tracks.html, The guy is cutting it 14 wide for me. Haven't put it on yet still waiting for arrival. Not sure where you are in Canada but I believe he ships from High River, Ab.
Thanks for the info Snowmixer, I couldn't imagine where a phazer could go with a 3" track. Sounds like a whole lot of fun to me, maybe one day I will extend it to 153 and go that route. As for now I will just stick with a 2" challenger. Cheers.
I have to say the 4 stroke turbo power is awesome on the Phazer. I have a 2007 mountain lite mcx kit and love it, lots of torque on the low end and when the turbo hits it goes like a bat out of hell. There are a few tweaks needed I have learned, like making your air filter more exposed. It...
Thanks for the reply's guys, I like both of the setups in the videos especially the shop vac attached to the dust port. I will definitely give it a try, I think i'm going to go with a 2" challenger track, hoping to gain some more traction in the deeper stuff. Can't wait till the snow fly's!
I was looking at replacing my stock track on my phazer and just weighing out some options. I ride mostly off trail in some deep powder at times and I'm considering running a camoplast challenger 2" for better traction. The 14" width is an issue, as the challenger only comes in 15", Has anyone...
Sled is bogging between 3/4 - full throttle, seems to be anything over 10 psi it starts to mess around (sputter/ bog). Can really notice it when you hit the throttle fast vs easing into it. One other thing I noticed is that the blow off valve stops making as much noise as it normally would. When...
From around 3/4 to full throttle the sled bogs and loses power, approximately 10-14 psi. You can really notice it when you punch the throttle instead of easing into it. Also after riding around for 20 mins the blow- off valve stops making any sound as it would in the first 5 mins, just wondering...
It was running good, just had to increase the idle a little after riding around. Yeah the battery was completely charged too. Yeah just must have been a bad connection I would have to agree. All good now! Thanks for all the help ;)!
Got the sled running. Was the last thing I would have guessed. Just for the hell of it I thought I would throw the old spark plugs in, machine fired right up after that. I guess the brand new plugs were no good? I did end up greasing all the connections aswell, any idea how code 46 would show up...
Yeah I saw 46 was voltage is too high or low in the system. What connections should I focus on for corrosion relating to this problem? Di electric grease also work? Thanks.
I have an 07 Phazer fx that wont start. The starter cranks over good, but it does not want to fire. Checked the starter bolts and they are tight. I put a screwdriver across the starter relay contacts just to see if that was the problem, and it still didn't start. When the key is turned I can...
