I've had exactly the same 2 leaks on my 2020 Viper. The oil in and around the airbox is caused when the oil level is overfull, it drains into the airbox. I had the same oil dripping to the ground and brought my sled back to the dealer and they sucked out 300 mls from the tank to bring it to the...
I've got a 2020 Viper LTX GT with semi aggressive snowtrackers. Putting dollies under my skis is a backbreaker because of the trackers. Any suggestions on back friendly dollies?
I had the same problem on a Vector and I bought the "marginal snow wheel kit" from Yamaha which are small wheels, approx 3.5 inches in diameter that installed right at the tip up. It stopped the wear completely.
I have the same set up. My only complaint is that I had to back off the ski shock springs way down in order for the trackers to work properly. Because of that, my A arms are sagging a little, I don't like how it looks. It handles excellent otherwise.
Blade072:
Went from a 2013 Vector ltx to a 2020 Viper ltx gt. The procross chassis is much better than the yamaha deltabox, lighter, better handling, better suspension, much better ergonomics. The 2020 engine puts out an extra 10-12 hp due to reprogrammed ecu mapping. The Vector was a fantastic...
I've got the 2020 and get 16-18 mpg. When the fuel light comes on, I have 7 litres (1.5 gallons) left, my range is 200 kms with about a gallon left. FYI, I've finally figured out a great set up for the Tuner 3's and snowtrackers, took lots of experimenting but the sled now handles as well as any...
Did you back off the ski shock preload they insist on in the instructions? I'm happy with the trackers but not happy that my front end is "sagging" downward after backing off the preload.
Wannaviper, a few questions, does your Sidewinder have the ARCS front end? I assume you backed off the front suspension shock preloads as per installation instructions? Did you adjust the front track shock?
Thanks
I've got a 2020 Viper ltx gt 137 with the new ARCS front suspension with the taller spindles. Has anyone experimented with the front track shock? Trying more preload-less preload and what were the results? I'm running the Tuners with snowtrackers and I had to decrease the ski shock preloads to...
My skis were 1/2" toed out, 0 toe now. I find that the more ski pressure I put, the more it darts. It doesn't dart at all now but my ski pressure is down to 25%.
