Have a 2011 Venture RST90 and want to run two heated helmets, will there be enough juice? I will have to wire in a second jack at the back so we aren't tripping over wires as well. Thoughts?
Wife and I did a 90 km trip, lake and trails, the setup is pretty good. Tried the spring setting on H going across the lake and dam near had the wife sitting on my shoulders a couple times. Changed it to M and it worked perfect. Almost broke my thumb on that darn selector when it snapped...
My speedo and gps are pretty close, worse in deeper snow because of track slip. So did a 55 km trip with the wife and even she felt the handling difference with the changes I made, will try a few more adjustments that you all have passed on, supposed to go on a 200 km trip this weekend, stand by...
Well most of my riding is 2 up so speed is not a big deal, my wife won't balk too much at 125 kmh but she prefers to see the scenery as opposed to a blur of forest!! Lol
Yeah true, last week was warm and the snow was sticky, then it's cold again and things speed up then more snow and now it's two feet deep so you slow down again!! I am very impressed with the handling now that I made those changes, it is still a heavy two up sled so there are limits.
I had it doing 140 kmh a couple weeks ago, I am good with the speed. You're right if I want a lake racer I should buy one. I will have a look at the control rods as soon as the snow melts off, time to crank the garage heat!!!!
Just put 80 Kms on the sled, a mix of trail and lake. The handling is way better, I can pin it and have it not wander all over the place! Now I need to work on the speed, had it pinned and would only do 131 kmh. There is a lot of snow on the lake I am sure it will go a little faster on a harder...
So I moved the limiter strap to the last hole, took an inch or so out of the front track spring preload, just waiting for the temp to get above -28C to go for a ride and maybe make some more adjustments.
