Torco Accelerator. Been using it for years now. I need to run about 98 octane to avoid detonation. Normally mix for 101 octane and don't have the O2 sensor issues I use to get with leaded race fuel.
I don't think it would be nearly as tippy on another sled. The pro-motion I have puts a longitudinal pivot point in the suspension like skidoo's T motion. This already made for bad trail manners on my sled, but I normally only ride about 200 yards on a trail before getting in the real snow...
Got the Bar Code installed and tested out. I have the pro-motion on my suspension so the sled was already easy to tip over and rode great in powder, I ordered the Barcode one night when I was drinking to many beers in front of my computer. Anyway here's my review. Backed sled out of the...
Fred, I am down in Valdez now, but I will be putting mine on next Thursday, unless Thompson Pass gets closed from the snow. If you're out in the Badger Gas area, you can come over and try it for yourself.
Just ordered the Barcode. I'll let you know, I have the pro-motion on my skid so I was a bit worried that the Barcode would make the sled to tippy, but I was sitting here drinking lots of beer and impulse bought the damn thing. Fingers crossed.
Looks good. I was thinking about heading out over the weekend, but I have managed to break my sled on the 1st ride of the season for the last three years, so I decided wait for a bit more snow. This pic makes me feel like I made the wrong decision. Is this down near you, or up near me?
No issues at all. At WOT the AFR is normally in the mid 11's the 12.5 normally shows at low to mid range. As far as long pulls go, the throttle plate that goes to my left hand throttle got bent and wedged my throttle pretty much wide open. I had my tether disconnected and the sled took off...
Nick I think we always wish we had waited for the next model year. Those A-Arms and spindles don't look like they give much protection to the shocks; could be an issue if say you are standing next to your sled with the tether disconnected and just bump the throttle and it takes off and creams a...
Just installed the stage 1 with the upgraded fuel pump last week. Ran 8 pounds at 400 feet for most of the day today, AFR's stayed right in the 11.5 to 12.5 area thru the entire throttle range. I do use torco accelerator to bump octane levels up 100 to 105, but with the head shim you may be...
Looks like detonation caused by a lean cylinder, either a faulty injector or low fuel pressure at the end of the fuel rail (if this is the furthest injector from the feed side of the fuel rail). If it was bad fuel I would expect to see at least some detonation scars on the other pistons...
No, not Matt, he's my opposite, and I'm still on shift untill next week. This is Aaron, if you're talking about Vern M. tell him I said hi. Dave is our pilot up there at 5, he's probably sitting out in the smoke shack. He normally rides with us, but we usually get hemmed up riding on weekends...
Yes, ordered the stage one kit should be in next Friday then the install begins. Flying helicopters, was at Pump 5 for quite awhile now they have me working in Valdez flying PWS and Thompson Pass.
New viper MTX owner in North Pole. Coming off SC Nytro that I've been riding since 08. Also doing the Alyeska shifts with plenty of free weekdays. Very familiar with riding Cantwell east of the Igloo, don't much like the bumpy trail of tears heading out to the mine on the west side. Rode...
I super charged, OFT relocated, did the skinz tunnel mods, put a bark buster on the front, then switched to +3 zbroz, and put a KMOD on the back. The biggest difference I noticed in the trees was the zboz front end. Seems the further you get the skis away from the track, the better the sled...
