I think this is huge step in the right direction for Yamaha, I will give it a year to see the reviews and how well it holds up! I guess for all of you who don't like it, you still have all the same choices you had last year!
I like where this is going, hopefully it is not plagued with the issues surrounding the Cats - but it sounds like a lot of those issues might be addressed with the Yamaha parts, ie clutching! I think it looks wicked and actually like the lines better than the Cat. I will give it a year to hear...
Hi All,
I was reading through a number of different threads looking for the info, but could not find anything - doing this for my brother in law, waiting on the sled . . .
Sled - 2010 XTX
Track - we are changing it to a 2"
Gearing - ?????
Primary Clutch Weights - ????? I do not...
I am running 3 sets of 509's this year, I am going to try the fans and see how well they work! Rode with a 509 helmet/goggle combo last year and was very happy!!!
Kinger -
Run both lights, one is a spot and the other is a flood! No issues with on coming traffic - they should be wired to run on or off using the headlight switch!
Did the spindles make it ok? Get them installed yet - cannot wait to see it completed!
Looking Good!
I am getting the parts ordered for my MTX build and next on the list is the trail tank - is it worth it? My brother in law has one on his 121 and has great range, just not sold on the fit and finish of the item! For an boondockin Mtx is the trail tank a Yes or No mod?
I have tons of pictures, the cabin at Keweenaw Mtn Lodge was a great deal, right around $100 (maybe less) - and it had 3 bedrooms! I beleive they offer bigger cabins as well.
We stayed at both the Mariner North and Keweenaw Mountain Lodge last year - great price on a cabin at Keweenaw Mtn Lodge! Eat breakfast at the Tammarack, best breakfast in the UP for us last year! Bear Belly Bob's in Lac La Belle was a great stop, and don't forget the GAY BAR!!!!!
TT - As you know I change my mind a lot, LOL! I am going to run a 153" Timber Sled setup in the Nytro, I was going to sell it as a 162" complete but decided to keep it and shrink it to a 153"! Got some parts ordered today :)!!!!!
