Anyone ordered parts from Yamaha lately? Long wait?

My Dealer warned me last month that there would be a shutdown on parts ordering for 10-14 days while they did some upgrades to their system and they are back up and running so there could be some backorders being filled. I've obtained some Rhino parts since then with no delays.

Front track shock removal on iqs sustems

I've done a couple in place and it wasn't that bad to do on my lift. I believe that I may have loosened the front straps to change out the shock with the rear of the sled in the air to stretch out the suspension. I put a set of Elkas in last time that went well.

    Quebec trail pass

Yes they are underpriced but what can the OFSC do when the MTO is going to force them into bankruptcy. It's a very bad situation that they are being put into.

    Sd_12 error

I'm not sure exactly what happened to my code the first time but maybe just being inside and warming up plus with disconnecting everything to take measurements the crank sensor had some life in it until it fails completely. When my machine did restart and I went for a ride but once I shut it off...

    Sd_12 error

I had the same thing happen on my 2020 winder along with some hand warmer codes, it did restart once and failed to start the next time and it was the crank sensor. Luckily I had 2 days of warranty left and the dealer changed out the stator and it's done a 1,000 kms since then. Supposedly you can...

2016 Yamaha Viper Low Compression on PTO Cylinder

I was just wondering what the valve clearance was like, I had a 2016 that was hard to start after 13,000 km and valves were tight and needed to be shimmed which caused low compression on the PTO and center cylinder.

    Oil Tank baffle

I had to reseal the oil tank to the chain case and I noticed a groove from one of the tank baffles. Or could this be a machined groove for the baffle to rest in. I wasn't sure so I laid a bead of "The right stuff" in there before I closed up the tank. It's for my 2020 winder with 15000 km.

    2024 S/W first oil change—-WTH?

That's a strap for the ECU I believe, you might want to make sure everything is strapped down in the bulkhead. I did my own first oil change and chain case servicing and the gear wasn't indexed properly under the actuator for the chain case.

    Snow tracker installation

Yes my sled was set up by the dealer, it was a left over that I picked up in August, they do charge $400 for the PDI but I have never seen a check list on the last 4 purchases from this dealer. Dealer that I bought from before had a list and they did a inspection with you and they also went...

    Snow tracker installation

I must say that I'm very disappointed by the ski alignment from the factory on my 2024 SRX. When I went to adjust the skis for zero toe-in as recommended in the instructions there was 1inch of toe-out on the skis and when I straight edged the skis with the track the left ski accounted for 1/4"...

    Best scratchers for rx1??

I bought REV-XP Summit #860201728 and I ended up grinding a 1/4" piece of aluminum on each side to fill the window in the slide rail as shown in the highlighted circle and then I had to drill one hole in the rail for the spring mount and one through the custom fitted piece. Need to drill one...

    24 SRX boost hose

Just to finalize my post, I spoke with the dealer owner last month to voice my displeasure and he wasn't aware of the refusal from Yamaha since it was the sales department that had handled the claim and lo and behold 2 weeks later I had a new hose waiting at the dealer. My brother picked it up...

    Best scratchers for rx1??

I tried the cable type scratchers twice and they broke on the first ride each time not to mention the damage to my slide rails. I installed the BRP scratchers that mount on the slide rails and they are awesome. You can back up without picking them up and they do the job that they're intended for.

    Quebec trail pass pricing.

Just a heads up for my fellow sledders there is an extra early bird price for the Quebec trail pass. Until October 31 the trail pass is $415, November 1 to December 9 it is $440 and after December 9 it is full price at $530. As always basic insurance of PLPD is included. Think Snow!

    24 SRX boost hose

I know what your saying as I put some orange Turbo dynamic hoses last year on my 2020 when they developed cracks but holy crap this thing hadn't seen the day of light yet, I'm going to see the dealer tomorrow and maybe we can make a deal on some gold Hurricane hoses.

    24 SRX boost hose

Well I picked up a left over 2024 SRX in August for a sweet deal, Now for the problem the boost hose on the left side is cracked at the intercooler end and the sales person and dealer owner took pictures and send to Yamaha for warranty claim. This sled lived in the crate until I purchased it and...

    Sidewinder Cold Start

Just a word of caution, if you are in the extreme cold and your sled starts up do not shut it off while you finish packing your saddlebags. I was with a group in northern Quebec and we had one fellow with the Cat 9000 announce that he was going to shut his off while he finished getting ready and...
