    Mumma and Papa grizzly!!

Just a quick update. Pulled the v-belt out and it was brand new. Went further and whoever had reassembled the clutch hadn't bothered to regrease the rollers!! Plus the rollers were not in their groves, just floating around. Regreased, realigned everything and presto, full power from take of.

    Primary Sheave removal.

Thanks for the advice Grizzhopper. Well I thought about it for a while then pulled out an old v-belt. Wrapped it around the sheave, fastened it tight with a pair of multi-grips then used a tie down strap to anchor the belt to the a-arm. It worked a treat. Got both sheaves off without to much...

    Primary Sheave removal.

I'm in the process of removing my primary sheave for inspection, clean and regrease. Do I really need to buy a sheave holder from Yamaha like my manual sugests or is there another way to get around it. I have a bad habit of pushing tools to far and end up with a great deal of @#%* words and...

    Can A Grizzly Wheelie Stock?

They wheelie easy. I have a 600 grizz and a 660 and they both come up easy. Timing is the main thing. Got to hit the gas and weight transfer fairly close to each other. Rest your foot on the rear carry racks with your knee on the seat, really helps get the weight back. I can wheelie my old mans...

Mine revs very hard straight away and really fires out of the blocks. I've put in a head to head with my 02 660 grizz and there is very little...

    Belt slippage

I have a 2000 Grizzly which I have a problem with. The belt slips under slow speed decceleration. I've just replaced the v-belt which was cracking and the problem is still there. It doesn't slip under hard acceleration or at faster speeds deccelerating. It hits a certain speed, I'm guessing 5-10...
