Gates makes a heavy duty hose in 3 ft lengths for HD truck applications. It is much stronger than what is currently used. I will be taking mine back apart and using this hose, and hope for the best. Anyone know the inside diameter of this hose? Dealer has my cut hose.

Yes. Dealer in Quebec drilled out most of the rivets in the long cooler tube that comes from the back of the sled. Wrestled a new hose on and riveted long cooler back on. A lot of labor to replace a $3 hose.

We're the hose clamps simply loose and hose was leaking, or was the hose punctured/torn in some way? Is front heat exchanger/tunnel pushed up at all?

I am the other guy that had the same problem in Quebec on the same day. I also thought about gluing a second piece of hose over the coolant hose to help protect it. But I think the real problem will be keeping the two hose nipples in alignment. The way the mechanic had to beat the tunnel/heat...
