Some have said it could be caused by a backfire? I know with the old flash I had a few good backfires at start up and after good full pulls.

If it has jumped out like mine was, the timing is off and likely over fueling and hard start when hot. You can pull primary, cover, etc and look to see if the alignment marks are out. I think that most of the problems people are having with new flash ( that are stock) are related to this issue.

I would only have to give it throttle at start up. Then it would idle fine and run normal.

My dealer changed mine because of starting issues after new flash and it is now working great. Mine was out 1 tooth. Always ran great once started. If I gave mine a little throttle it would lean it out and fire every time

Update - dealer changed out part 13 in attached pic and all is fixed!! Sled cranks quicker and starts. Used to have the quick and then slow like battery dying as some are experiencing. Would also not start when hot without flipping throttle to lean it out. I have been riding for 2 days and...

Update - dealer pulled off primary and crank cover to see if the “nub” has moved and and according to mechanic it had moved a 16th out of position and this as per Cat would cause hot starting issues as it will throw out timing, injectors, etc. So, we are going to replace and see what...

Try giving the 14 a touch of throttle on hot start when it cranks longer than normal and I bet it fires. My dealer has been trying to sort this out for s month. Tommorrow he is taking off primary to see if the stub in the crank is in the correct position?? This is what Cat has asked him to do?

Try giving it a shot of throttle when it is cranking on the first time. Mine fires when I do this. I have a changed my battery, plugs to iridium new high test fuel with isopropyl and still the sma thing is happening. I am blamong the flash and just going to ride it.
