Update. I got the plugs changed today and here is what it does. There is no more backfiring but I can not get the idle over 1700. When started cold it will idle at 2600-2700 rpm then when it warms up it would idle at 1300 rpm so I adjusted the idle up all the way and it will only get to 1700...
