It started, no complications, just new plugs.. I've run other machines a looong time without having to change plugs, was surprised how soon this pig needed them again.
By supposedly, I meant supposedly the shop that I had it in last to overhaul the engine put the new plugs in that I gave them. This particular shop has a good reputation, however I've caught them in some shady practices lately.
Ok, so- this #-$-$-#*@# machine ran great before it sat for a few weeks while I did the clutch- now the &@$-+* wont start. It cranks & cranks, sometimes a backfire, but it refuses to catch & start..
I've got no lights or any indication of electricity flowing, I can't remember if those even come...
Ok, thanks for the confirmation! Do the weights require other little parts to be changed in their assembly?
I'll check the rollers too for sure. Thanks again!
Awesome, I appreciate that experience! It's just stupid expensive for the Yamaha parts, like ridiculously.. I'd like to just throw another clutch in there, but that's probably not the way to go.
Do the weights have replaceable bushings in them or do I have to get new weights? I've found this rebuild kit, it's just insanely expensive. I haven't had any work in a bit & trying to do only what needs to be done, on a super tight budget.. wanting to sell it, as it's just too unresponsive &...
The machine has around 11,750 miles.. I haven't been able to get the clutch off yet, don't have a puller.. looking at it, nothing is wrong. If I softly pry the spider off of the weights, the weights are extremely sloppy on their bolt..
I saw that, thank you.. however the thread you referred me to was describing a completely different clutch issue.. this knocking issue is from worn out parts I believe.. parts that maybe, hopefully someone has had experience with finding/installing.. factory Yamaha, or aftermarket options?
Thank...
Thank you for the reply.. this thread is describing a different clutch issue though.. my issue is definitely the weights from what I can diagnose, its a knocking sound in the clutch & the weights are loose/wobbly. The noise stops with a little rpm, once the clutch engages the belt..
Anyone have experience going through the clutch on these pigs? I have a seemingly clapped out clutch on mine(06 VK Professional), it's knocking & loud.. the noise goes away completely with a little rpm once the belt is engaged.. most of the parts seem to have good tolerance, except for the...
I appreciated reading your post here! I am having this same issue.. It seems almost impossible to find parts & know that they will be the right parts if I can even find them.. If you found weights, etc.. that worked, I would love to know what you found & used! I have the same 06 VK Professional...
