I work with a former Polaris engineer. He did say they had one for testing. They also had one with a RZR based turbo engine and he said the 998T literally destroyed the Polaris engine version.
Not to start any arguments but Hurricane's knock sensing is what sells it for me. Dave and company hit the nail on the head and as far as I know they haven't had a single engine failure since they developed their system.
We've all seen brown winters but I don't ever recall it being so wide spread. When the Arrowhead of Minnesota and the UP are struggling that's a real bad winter around here, at least for a snowmobiler.
If you recall I had just standard gas cell (no idea who made them) on my 2017 STX-DX. Miller obviously had the QS3-R on his 2017 LTX-LE. The difference in ride once you hit a rough patch of trail was mind boggling. We hit some stretches in the UP where the groomer was broke and he was leaving me...
The best thing about FB is the Marketplace for buying and selling. It seems to work better because you can screen their profile and location. If I see something fishy I steer clear. I hardly ever go to Craigslist anymore.
Old thread but the last time I posted I had just bought a Sidewinder. I pulled the Tuners immediately and put on those Curves I had on my Attak. I always had this nervous side to side subtle but irritating twitch on my Attak with those, turns out that nervous twitch followed to my Sidewinder.
I...
They were kind of lying saying they were in it for the long run.
I really think it had to do with Yamaha leaving their whole snowmobile division in the hands of Cat/Textron. When Textron told them they wouldn’t share their new chassis or build a wider version to accommodate their 3 cylinder 4...
Probably compared to the standard Ripsaw. The Ripsaw II hooks just as well as the Cobra in testing and has more top end, both sleds equal. Both our 136 Apex's running the same clutch kits and both drivers very close in weight.
I agree with Mike on a 700 twin is about as big as they should go.
I grew up with sleds in my family going back to 1970 so I was always around them. I bought my first snowmobile on my own in 1988, a brand new Phazer, I was 24 years old. At the time I wanted to gain more technical knowledge on...
Ok I was curious how it compared to those 800 triples on torque. I remember Olav stressing trying to build pipes that are not peaky and have a nice backup torque curve in relation to the HP curve. In essence to what you are saying, good bandwidth or a broad power curve.
Getting back to your...
Which is crazy, they say BRP has 80% of the PWC market. Whenever we go down to Mexico, Bahamas, etc. all they ever have to rent is Yamaha Waverunners. I asked a worker in the Bahamas, why only Yamaha? He said we have tried others and nothing lasts like a Yamaha because they have a true marine...
