Also forecasted for Missouri and Kansas, good grief!!
Gee I bet the Missouri folks are getting their groomers ready....:o|
I was all hot on buying another Winder about 6 weeks ago, now I am glad I haven't done a thing.
Yes he owned a fairly new Lynx 900 turbo which was all customed out of course. He still had a 2018 SW ltx-le blue anniversary model also customed out, but Shari his wife mostly rode that. He had a new SW LTX-LE on order from Pat's. Then he had a host of some older stuff. A 1997 and 1998 Phazer...
Don had lots of snowmobiling photos at his visitation and funeral today. I was fortunate to be in some of the photos from our trips in the UP. They had a wonderful service for him.
I was fortunate to sit with two retired Yamaha snowmobile division employees, plenty of good conversations...
His wife added a post on Don’s Facebook page this weekend. She said she will post an obituary as soon as it is ready. I will keep an eye out for it and drop the link to it on here when it shows up.
Thanks, was hoping you would see this. I too was looking at those photos today. I don’t tear up much but this morning drinking my coffee I did just that thinking about Don. It was usually on the weekends we would talk. Such a kind soul. I feel so sad for his wife Shari.
Don had a brand new 2025 LTX LE on order at Pat’s Motorsports. Don touched a lot of people in the sled industry. He knew so many folks in the sport. We just talked on the phone not long ago, I had a hard time concentrating at work after the news. Such a nice person all around. Gut wrenching…..my...
I just got the news our good friend Don (VX1R) passed away last night from a heart attack. I don't have any details as of yet, his wife was calling all his friends this morning with his phone but I could not take the call at work. One of our other members here called me with the sad news about a...
I work with a former Polaris engineer. He did say they had one for testing. They also had one with a RZR based turbo engine and he said the 998T literally destroyed the Polaris engine version.
Not to start any arguments but Hurricane's knock sensing is what sells it for me. Dave and company hit the nail on the head and as far as I know they haven't had a single engine failure since they developed their system.
We've all seen brown winters but I don't ever recall it being so wide spread. When the Arrowhead of Minnesota and the UP are struggling that's a real bad winter around here, at least for a snowmobiler.
If you recall I had just standard gas cell (no idea who made them) on my 2017 STX-DX. Miller obviously had the QS3-R on his 2017 LTX-LE. The difference in ride once you hit a rough patch of trail was mind boggling. We hit some stretches in the UP where the groomer was broke and he was leaving me...
The best thing about FB is the Marketplace for buying and selling. It seems to work better because you can screen their profile and location. If I see something fishy I steer clear. I hardly ever go to Craigslist anymore.
Old thread but the last time I posted I had just bought a Sidewinder. I pulled the Tuners immediately and put on those Curves I had on my Attak. I always had this nervous side to side subtle but irritating twitch on my Attak with those, turns out that nervous twitch followed to my Sidewinder.
I...
