Can anyone explain to me why this set up would supposedly put less pressure on the rails. Bruce is saying in his advertising that going with the oversized Polaris wheels there is to much rail pressure causing the rails to crack. I don't understand why his offset set up would relieve any more...
My buddies Gt has 2000 miles on it and the A-arm upper and lower bushings were toast. The dealer replaced them under warrenty and when we lifted the sled up on a jack there is still tons of slop in both upper and lower arms. the upper is however considerably worse. What gives. Bruce Schrader has...
I purchased the GEARS saddlebags from Parts America and they worked very well and held a lot of stuff. I did have to make minor alterations to how I attached it because it was designed for the RX-1 but it was really easy to do.
Can anyone tell if the goggles with the prescription lens system works and how do the open face helmets work at keeping your face warm in extreme cold weather?
Does anyone know if any of the performance shops have used the BOONDOCKER programmer that the sell with the NOS kits. I have read that this unit can be used to reprogram your sleds fuel delivery but i am almost sure you need a dyno to do it.
the machZ got more horses than my GT and it kicked my rear end big time every time we went to the pump. I for one was really disappointed in the milage. with efi the fuel map should be able to beat a carbed version any day...... If this were not so auto manufactures would go back to carbs on...
I agree that the fuel map or something is out of wack. My vector is a light brown color just inside the exhaust pipe. My Gt is blacker than black and I for one am extremely disapointed in the milage.
Ihave to admit the 600 did blow last year on one of our trips and on the other one the injectors blocked up with dirt so we had to tow it in. I did screw up when I said 600 HO, the sled is sdi for sure. The mach has 4000 miles on it with only a couple fouled plugs as far as problems. My Gt was...
after 1300 miles in six days I was getting my but kicked big time by both a 600HO and a mach Z. I was using 4 to 7 more liters every tank full. My buddies ate stake every night telling me to have a burger with the money I had left after filling up, I was very dissapointed. My vecter from last...
I do not understand exactly what bergstoms ski savers do to help with darting. I think that it would help if the carbides were not all ready recessed into the bottom of the ski. Maybe there is something that I am miissing here but the ski saver seems to be doing the same thing that the bottom of...
I bought the GEARS saddlebags that are sold by Parts Unlimited. I also tour for a week at a time. They are nice as far as size goes we will see how well they hold up. I also put the yamaha trunk bag on top so I have plenty of room. The Gears bags cost $69.00
the oversized ski-doo wheels that are mentioned on this site do have the larger bearing so you will need a slightly longer bolt but you won't need to do any machining. Because they are thinner they do not interfere with the track lugs. Vector_1 put the part #s and sizes futher up on this thread.
ski-doo has an oversizes idler that is made to be much thinner than the one that is stock on the apex. It is the idler they use on the 440 ski-doo. This would keep you from having to mill the mount. I'm sorry I didn't get the part # but I can call and get it on monday.
Does anyone have the specs on ride height when you have added the fatboy spring to the Ohlin shock? I weigh 230 without gear. Is it any different than with the stock spring----GT man
