Probably too late - but i didnt know anything about a giveaway ride, and am too far away, but would still like a shirt.
Any chance to get one late? *ducking for cover*
Thanks Yam429!
Before I dive into that, can you take a look at this pic. To me, it looks like the adjuster in the upper right is "mis-clocked" meaning my torsion leg is pointing to 5 o'clock vs the typical 2/3 o'clock I see when looking at skid pics.
I'm thinking the fix is to release the...
From where to where? I have one in the front in similar places to the oem limiter strap, but where do I grab in the back? Sorry I'm not the most experienced
I took the rear spring/shock and strut off the rear of my 2008 nytro fx rtx and while removing the top strut mount I removed the rear limiter strap bolts and released the tension to not strain it. But now I can't reconnect the limiter strap because it is too short. I believe the torsion spring...
I'm not trying to decouple the two components, just trying to remove the reservoir as the shock is disconnected on both top and bottom but the reservoir is snug in the mount. I'll try again tonight. Granted i'm doing this with the skid in, on the floor of a trailer with only shop light and...
Looking for advice or guidance on how to remove the skid shock reservoir on a 2008 Nytro FX RTX. Looking at the microfiche it appears it's only two hose clamps and the reservoir will come out with the rubber "boot". I'm attaching a picture of the fishe and it is part number 44' 45 & 46 that...
Do you think it's okay to have put anti-seize on the silver gear of sorts that actually pushes the pad into place? It's on the outside when sitting on the sled and is circled in red. This is what it looked like before I cleaned it up as junk was falling out of the groves. I did it to make it...
I was able to seat the pad in the caliper using a quarter on the pad , 3/8" ratchet extension and a tack hammer. A few good wacks and it was on.
Everything is back together and operational. I could have likely used the old pads but they were glazed and not holding so it was time well spent...
This is the setup I used to try seating the pad. It appears seated in this picture but as soon as I release pressure, it falls out. I also tried using a golf tee on the pad and hitting the end with a tack hammer, no go. I also tried to put the original pad back in place to see if it would...
I have a 2008 Nytro FX that I'm having trouble getting new parking brake pads to seat in the caliper body. I used a punch with a tack hammer to lightly pop the old one out but I cannot get the new one to seat.
I have used a paint stick on the pad and a ratchet extension pressing the paint...
