XTX Rear Shock low pressure 150 >> 300 PSI

Are you sure you can even check the pressure. I heard its impossible to check accurately, The volume of gas in those shocks is so small that a little bit of charge volume needed to re-pressurize your hose and gauge set can alter the pressure significantly.

    Coolant Leak: see pic!

Your heat exchangers are cracked. This happened on my 02 viper and it just happened on a friends 06 apex. You can probably pull them off and get them welded. They crack on the inside of the tunnel. I think its from the running boards flexing. Do you do a lot of standup riding? If...

    front pivot arm

I believe the 08 monoshock sleds have a stronger front pivot arm, before you ditch the monoshock you could update to the 08 front arm. Or weld up your old arm with additional support. There are a few posts on this forum with guys that have welded supports on the arm in problem areas. I have...

Dual rate spring, best solution to cure bottoming?

I just installed the Hygear dual rate spring with remote reservoir on my RTX. I probably have 300 miles with the setup in some real harsh and smooth trails in the tug-hill. I'm very impressed with this shock and spring package. Ross has hit a home run with this setup! The adjustment in...

Vibration from track ??? HEEEELP PLEASE *** done ***

Not sure if this is your problem but, I had a similar vibration on my 06RTX sled. Drove me nuts . I knew something was wrong after the first trip!. The demo sleds seemed much smoother the year before. My sled had a horrible vibration at moderate to high speed. Seemed really bad in loose...

scorpion exo 700 no good in cold

I also had my first cold ride with my scorpion helmet. At first it did seem like i was getting a lot of wind around my eyes. One thing I did that seemed to help a-lot, I covered up and blocked the small little vent holes in the neoprene neck guard. It felt like most of the air was catching...

    Need advice on helmet

I have the BRP EXO 700 Scorpion Helmet. Very nice helmet! I've always had HJC helmets and wanted to try something new and didn't want a modular. It's the best non-modular helmet I've seen so far. I can't speak as to how well it'll work at preventing frosting but anything has to be better...

    Aluminumized Skid

With the aluminizing you might want to shoot the parts with a clear coat because its very porus/rough and will have a tendancy to hold the dirt, If your looking for just performance and not astetics it will be fine. Clear coat will act as a sealer to make it easier to keep clean. Great idea...

    I need to Vent!!!

A few weeks ago. I spoke to Ross at Hygear Suspension regarding these monoskids. He's working on a progressive spring package for these monoshock sleds. He hopes its available for next season. I can't wait beacuse I think thats the ticket for this skid. He can also re-valve your stock...

    Apex Vibration

Mine had a pretty bad vibration from 30-80. I knew mine wasn't normal after I rode a demo attack that was real smooth. It felt like a bad belt. Turns out the moveable secondary shive was warped. Mine probably had 1/8-1/4" run out on the part. You could see it run out at low speed on a...

    3 year Warranty is back!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Yamaha is giving you the additional 2 years of the warranty through YES (Yamaha Extended Service) Not giving you 3 plus 2. Hence the dollar value associated with it. Thats how the older three year warranties worked in the past.

    Where is the APEX built?

Based on what I've seen 80% Japan & 20% at your dealer. Yamaha sticks the dealers with about 6 Boxes of parts, 7 mixed bags with about 20 nuts and bolts each and a 20 page assembly manual. I guess you could say the final assembly point is at your dealer. LOL

Protectors fo Fox Floaters on RTX Anyone Using Them

I have them on my RTX. They're cheap insurance for stonechips and scratches. They do clip on but they also use a Stainless Steel worm gear clamp to hold them at the base of the shock. I wouldn't be too concearned about someone ripping them off.
