I have had this happen also, I think it is because the carb slides are controled by vaccum to open and close so when you hit really hard the slides slam shut and kill the engine. Dont know how to stop this

mpi tunnel I have that tunnel on my sled I think the holey lower part is more of shield so the track doesnt hook the exhaust it might be somewhat structural but if you needed to cut some of it out you should be ok as long as you stiffenend up the heat shield under the seat with thicker...
