2006 Mar TY Ride Muni pics

I remember that! Of course, I remember every time I've been to Miner's Castle, because it's beautiful up there!

So what happens at these TY rides?

LMAO! I think this will be my 6th annual Munising TY ride. That sounds right. 6 Years! You tend to get to know people over that amount of time, and I can truthfully say, TY people are the best. I've brought sledding buddies to TY rides all over Michigan, and those friendships last...

Whats a good carbide for a Warrior with 144 studs

Bergstrom Triple Points are amazing, and they last for freakin ever. Also, use the Bergstrom Skisavers!

2006 Jan Muni TY Ride - Still Going to Happen?

Rex, don't sweat it! You're in great company! The most important thing is to hook up with someone who is going to do the kind of riding you like to do. Off trail, trails only, back country, or all 3! Be sure to get to the party room at the Alger falls on thursday night, and track me down...

Bergstrom Skegs, Ski Savers and Shims

something to consider with the Skisavers... You are adding 2 90* edges to your keel, making any ski more aggressive when turning in snow. For shallow keeled skis, this is a simple mod that will have big results! There should be much less "turn and wait for the sled to start turning" bs with...

    Possible explanation for Apex/Attak Darting

Wow guys...you may be missing a simpler solution...It's getting to be an old say, but check out my tech article in the Tech section on darting...True for ANY sled with skis. It's kinda soon to have much wear on the bars, but if it's FRONT HEAVY at all, meaning the front of the carbides wear...

    2005-2006 TY Ride Final Dates....

Can't wait to get up there again! I hope the trails were just like in 2004...flat, with gobs of snow every where! Now...if I chop of an arm and both my legs, maybe I can keep up with Tom... :)

    Rage Ski Shim

Dave, kinda sounds like you had too much bias to the rear. Hope you find that sweet spot. I always attach the shims on top of the bumper, so I can keep an eye on them. They're more effective too. Keep that wear even, and you'll have the best handling skis possible for your combination...

Vector 600 Miles Slider wear issue- suggestions?

Keep in mind that at very cold temps, the moisture content in snow goes way down, leaving little for lube. What ever drips off the coolers. Don't start with the control rods in setting up your skid, start with the spring preload! Make it perfect for your weight and riding style, and leave...

RS Rage seems tippy and darty.

It sounded like you cranked up the center shock initially...this gives you a teeter totter effect so that when you corner, the front of the skid pushes the outside ski up into the air. True on any sled with two shocks in the skid. Tightening the limiter straps may solve the problem, and may...

    Suspension cause & affect

Is the panther studded?! Sure sounds like it... What are the snow conditions you're racing in?

RS Rage seems tippy and darty.

The tippiness results from the aggressive skis and nice riding front suspension. The 1997 SX700 had no ski lift, but steel skis! No turny! Anyway...The Rage has the longer version of the ProAction, so would tune it pretty much the same way. For flatter handling, loosen the center shock...

Vector, Rage, Venture - Anybody else darting around?

New skis are not needed, and the darting can be solved with FREE stuff. This is assuming your alignment isn't out of spec... You need to park your sled on a flat floor, and look at how your skis are sitting. If you have more wear bar touching in front of the spindle than in the rear, then...

    Warrior Clicker Shock Not Rebuildable?

Did you guys try bringing up the shock adjustmest as well? Maybe it's too obvious, but cranking up the spring preload would make it feel like you're riding a spring, not a shock. More preload would make the damping less effective... What's the price on a replacement?

    04 RX1 10,989 MILES BRIEF NOTES

Breaking W arms is not solely a Proaction thing...the other 3 brands break parts too! You should bottom out once a day, that's the best baseline recommendation I've ever come up with. If you bottom more than that, you need more resistance. For you guys who've thrown aftermarket transfer...

    Oil Consumption and Break-in Method

Will this post prove Motoman and myself correct in our break in beliefs? Yeah, hehe. You've got a warrantee, why not beat on it, break it in fast, get more ring seal/power/less oil consumption, and if the bottom end lets go, drop it off at the dealer?

ANYONE have C&A SKIS on a WARRIOR???

I've got a set of 7" wide C&A's for sale, they're black and have about 1500 miles onthem. The keels are in great shape though, I've had SkiSavers on them since nearly new. If you want a ski that carves and floats, this is the ticket. I'd like $175 for them, they've got 4" Bergstrom carbides...
