    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Working perfect. I converted my friends 07 Attak ER and to solve the error code issue all we did was turned the warmers off and unplugged the switch. Now there is no chance of accidently turning them on and having the check engine light come on. On my 08 GT, I just set the warmers to off and...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Dave was wondering what the warmers load was? The wamers are 8 ohms each and draw 1.7 amps. I pulgged and 8 ohm resistor into each of the 2 plugs that come from the ECM. This solved the check eng light in case I accidently turned on the bar warmers with the factory control.

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

I was worndering why Yamaha would shut off the warmers under certain rpms and when the brake light is on. The accessory plug has a 3 amp fuse on it and it has power all the time. With my bar warmers connected to the accessory circut, it is drawing 3.4 amps and does not blow the fuse. If...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

My theory on why the factory warmers don't work is because there is not a constant 12v being supplied to a heating element. If you keep turning the element on and off, it never gets up to temperature. The factory warmers/grips are fine. When 12 volts is constantly supplied, the are perfect.(...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Racer Dave. That will work also. The accessory conection is nice because it is right there( beside where the warmers plug in) and it is factory fuse protected. First field test. Broke in the new LTX this weekend. Put on 50 mile in minus 10 Celcius. With the warmers set on high, the bars are...

    Nytro vs new 800 Dragon

I'm not one to bash other brands, but you Nytro guys will be happy to hear some real world results. We had rideable snow last week and my brother-in-laws new Dragon had nothing for the Nytro's. They raced a bunch of times up 100MPH. The dealer say there is new mapping coming already for the...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Those would work perfect. There is enought power in the accessoy outlet to power them. Only problem is getting them in the bars.

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Bamboo. You could add to your bar warmers. I considered buying Ski doo elements and taping them over my factory grips. You could then plug those grips into the accessory plug. It does seen rediculous that we have to resort to these kid of measures on a $12,000 snowmobile. Yamaha always had the...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

LJ 452 That is why I wanted to get away from the ECM for the power and control of the warmers.

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Sorry Bluballer. I didn't see your solution in the FAQ. I did see some of your posts in the Nytro section. I verified the output of the occilating voltage from the ECM to the warmers. That is the problem. If anyone wants to test my solution without cutting anything or risk hurting their ECM...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

The solution works perfectly! I connected everything tonight and ran the sled for 15 minutes. ( real world testing will follow). The results: After 1 minute the bars are so warm you can barely hold onto them with bare hands. Here is what I did: 1) I removed the cowl panel between the bars...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Sceptical crewchief The reason I have not posted instruction on this was, I have only worked on this for one evening. I read what seems like 100 pages on theories. Some of the people that posted information in the Nytro thread said they are engineers and I have verified some of the...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

The reason you can not use the current handwarmer switch is because it is an input to the ECM. You could connect directly to the battery. The only problem is it wouldn't be switched.( if you forgot your hand warmers on it would kill the battery) I am connecting a hi/low switch on my sled...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

Does anyone have any information on who supplies connectors to Yamaha. The are so many suppliers out there that it is like lookng for a needle in a hay stack. I hard wired my sled, but it would be nice to have factory connectors to make it easier for anyone to install.

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

When I posted the information, I was trying to help people with the same problem. This is not about making money, it was about solving a problem and offering people a solution. Crewchief47, do you expect someone to buy the conectors, wires, potentiometer, assemble them and mail it to people for...

    Handlebar Warmer problem solved!

After 2 years of frustration with my 07 Attak warmers and 1 year of reading about everyones problems and solutions, I decided to tackle the problem. The Problem: The problem with the factory warmers is not the warmers themself, but the power being supplied to them. The power is being supplied...
